The city of Bowling Green, KY is home to the unassuming Greenwood Mall. Like many malls in the US, it's struggling. But it's also a contender for the title of America's most haunted mall.

In this video we'll talk a little about haunted malls, and why they can be pretty difficult to find in the real world, and learn more about The Sleeper. This ghostly entity calls the mall, specifically its parking lot, home.
But is the mall really haunted or is this just a copypasta that took off? I'll leave that up to you to decide.

The mall that body was found at was not this Mall. It's the old mall on the corner of Nashville rd and Campbell lane in bowling green. Now home to a university research lab, call center, and the old hobby lobby.
Hmm, do you have a source for this? Everyone I’ve seen referencing the story online talks about this mall, rather than one that’s no longer there!
That's the one that had the Martin twin theater in it correct.
That’s the story. I’ve always heard the mall on Campbell Lane. That is just used for old people to do walking in now I think.

I remember when this Mall was built, never heard of any hauntings there.
In fairness, this seems to be a story that got its legs online rather than in the local community. Not sure how it grew so big!
One lead for a haunted mall: Prospect Centre in Hull, UK (same place you filmed your Princes Quay video, and about a 5 min walk from that place). Said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the city, Prospect Centre is a shopping mall built in the 1970s. Before this, it was the site of the old Hull Royal Infirmary hospital, demolished in the 1960s. The hospital had originally been built as far back as 1784, with many people passing away within its walls during its long history. Before the hospital was built on the site, it was also the location of the city gallows.
Hauntings include many reports of spectral medical personnel and people wearing hospital gowns. One shop unit has reported mysterious footprints appearing on the carpet overnight that dont wash out. Hooks on the wall being observed to spin randomly. Phantom childrens crying from stockrooms that were once the site of the morgue. Things being thrown with no one around....The list goes on...
They sometimes open the site for ghost walks/talks
Now that’s really intriguing to me…may have to see if I can get down to Hull again! Would definitely like to check out a ghost tour or something in there 👀
Grew up in this mall, even worked in this mall a couple of times never saw anything.
There were no hauntings at Greenwood lol the original Greenwood was located in a different place. A small strip mall near the town square. Lmao and it's creepy early in the morning/late a night cos bg is such a small town there's not a lot of people at those times. My sister friend once got flowed in the parking lot thou but it was a meth head. Wku, the college, is the most haunted place in bg . I do give you credit thou cos the mall is creepy, I used to hang out there like lots of teens and it was so boring. The best part was the pizza, hot topic and fye. They took out the arcade around 2013 or 2014 and now it has a play area in the food court. The place is medicore and I wish we had a different mall. I like the riverside mall in tn.

It’s been awhile, but I used to go to Greenwood Mall all the time. I’ve never heard that it was haunted. Maybe that’s why I used to spend so much money there. 😂

Speaking of horror movies about or taking place in malls, are you aware of the movie "Chopping Mall"? I'm sure you have seen the original Dawn of the Dead movie. There are probably others: a mall empty of people is a creepy place.
Yup, I've seen Dawn of the Dead and its remake. I've actually never watched Chopping Mall, but it's for sure on my list. Maybe this Halloween...

About a month ago a lady killed herself there. she sh0t herself in the head and her car sped into the side of the mall... i just moved here 2 years ago. so many bad things go on in bowling green, Ky

If it’s the event I’m thinking of, it was a man who shot himself, though didn’t die immediately, during a police chase. His car rammed into the Belk’s before the cops got him. He died in the hospital later.
Oh no! We are moving to Bowling Green in a couple weeks!
New interesting thing on June 10th of this year a man drove into mall and died. Where the belk is.
