Good show on transfer portal, but do the players understand the " gravity of the situation of portal"..they may not get picked up by another program.. There's "false" excitement for the player going to get "Bigger" NIL or "More" playing time. .. In "free agency"... There's no guarantees... Good Luck for 18 year old or 19 year old...
The portal opens and closes periodically doesn't it? Is there a schedule of openings and closings the NCAA has established? And are there limits on the amount of money a coach can dangle in front of a player to transfer?
It can really depend on how quickly you get offers. You can be in the portal and never get a transfer offer from another school, or you can enter the portal and immediately have offers

How do you enter the portal if you are a senior at a D3 school but want to play D1 basketball and you have one more year of eligibility?
What if my son is at a D3 program but there in an academic scholarship? They're play at a private Christian University
