    I watched this video and purchased the Panasonic Ionity. I LOVE IT. Thank you for the review. It is very quite and I have thick hair which takes a long time to blow dry, which is why I mostly air dry it. With this hair dryer the drying time is quick. Once again, thank you Ashley for doing this review.

    I think for people with thicker or fussy (kinky, coarse, frizz, etc) hair, the Dyson may be worth it, but for people with thinner, silky smooth hair like yours, a regular hairdryer should do just fine. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    It is funny to see so many Dyson supporters criticizing yr review.You were merely giving your thoughts based on the feeling after you tried both hair dryers.I saw some commenters doubted the Panasonic ionity feature. They probably never used Panasonic ionity hair dryer before.I first used it in the hotel of Japan.I was really amazed by the fast drying of the hair dryer. My hair became incredibly smooth and shinny. It was really the best hair dryer i have ever used and that was just the low price range Panasonic hair dryer.Their high end hair dryer can even perform better and only half of the price of Dyson hair dryer.

      @tanapoomch 4 года назад +2

      I agree with this comment. Tbh, I never really experienced Dyson but I can confirmed that Panasonic Hair Dryer is the better one in the market. I first purchased Panasonic hair dryer due to Double Ionity claim and my hair dry fast and shinier compare to std. hair dryer.
      After few year, I just upgraded to NANOE one. Damn, that’s really was a great idea. My hair is not only shinier but I can feel the body and silky touch from my hair for the first time.
      I think, for Hair Lover. You should try Panasonic once.

    I'm late to the comment party by almost 3 years, but I found your video because I need a newer, quieter hair dryer to use in my apartment. I don't like the idea of waking everyone around me with my hair dryer at 4 in the morning. Anyway, I think this was a fair comparison. I like how light and compact the Panasonic dryer seems to be and the decibel level is only 49! I heard the high pitched whining noise that the Dyson gave off in your video and just imagining that next to my ear was enough to make me say "nope". Scrolling through the comments, it's kind of funny to see how many people are mad because of the honest thumbs down to the Dyson. It also seems to be a recurring theme that their strongest argument is "It's the best because it costs $500!" Lol, Dyson snobs.

      I’m here for the same reason like you. I’ve lived in this apartment for a long time and just got a new downstairs neighbor that complains about every single thing. I get home late at night and need to shower to wash away the long day. Needing a quiet hair dryer for that reason. Did you get this panasonic hair dryer and did you end up liking it?

    Completely agree with the review. There was so much hype on RUclips about Dyson so my expectations were really high. This product turned out to be a complete disappointment. I did not like the way my hair looked after Dyson at all. It was not as smooth or shiny as after my regular $60 hairdryer. The claim is that it makes hair healthier in the long run. Simply not true -I spent more time trying to make my hair smooth with Dyson so increased exposure to heat here, resulting in overdried dull hair. And finally it is heavy, much heavier than other hairdryers out there, with a long bulky cord. So a lot of blatant lies and false claims.
    So Dyson hairdryer will be returned.
    Save your money on supplements and good hair products

    You cant compare a profesional dryer to personal use dryer
    Dyson: longer cord for maneuvering around the client. And the control buttons are on the stylist/barbers perspective point of use.
    Vs. panasonic: short cord because its meant for personal use, and controls are in your perspective when blowdrying. Another thing is that by the looks of it your hair is fine and have less hair per square inch. The dyson is louder than the Panasonic cause you had it on a low setting. Dyson Not loud compared to other professional dryers with stronger airflow. Plus Thats what super sonic means but for good reasons, on thick hair itll beat that Panasonic (not trying to Troll) on it but just being realistic. But on the other hand its a obviously a preference, you just have to know what type of hair you got. I wouldn’t spend $300+ if i have fine hair. If 1785WATT dryer can dry it quickly ill deff go with that and save my money. Compare the turbo power 3200 twinturbo vs dyson and then it would make more sence

You listed it as being $40 CAD but I cant find a single Canadian website with that model even and im not sure how quiet their other models of hair dryers are. Also does it even work with Canadian power outlets? I bought a babyliss hair dryer recently just to find out the outlet doesnt fit and since I opened the box, I couldnt return it. $60 down the drain. Dont want to make that mistake ever again!

    This is hardly a comparison video. Looks and feels like a personal attack on Dyson The sound difference was a lie. Don't think we didn't catch you turning your favorite dryer on the lowest setting possible, while blasting the Dyson. The Dyson is a better performing dryer. That's just facts. As a professional, I like the Dyson but I don't use it for work because I prefer something else but that doesn't change the fact that the Dyson is a very high quality dryer that will out last and out perform your Panasonic.

    I just watched your video while I was reviewing some videos about fake Dyson hair dryers. I have no complaint about your video or your opinions, as $400 for a hairdryer does seem ridiculous. I watched your video right after one exposing some of the characteristics of counterfeit Dyson hairdryers and I think you have a fake Dyson. The cord you show in the video is a classic example of the fake kind. It doesn't have the reset buttons it's supposed to have, it's rounded and looks different than it should. The attachments you showed appear to be fake as well. I didn't hear the proper "clicking" sound when you attached the pieces and the magnets appeared to be weaker than the real thing. Also, the "Dyson" your using sounds wrong compared to what I heard on the video concerning counterfeits. I'm not an expert and I don't even own a Dyson hair dryer, so I might be wrong. In order to make sure your comparison is a fair one, please look into whether or not your Dyson is the genuine article and report back. It seems that very convincing fakes are all over the place. Thanks and good luck.

    I have owned both.
    1- the panasonic is so slow and underpowered that in a years time I estimate you will lose an entire 24 hours a year on drying (assuming u dry daily)
    2- the panasonic will break long before the dyson. If it gets heavy use such as a salon do not even think of the panasonic. The panasonic motor burned out after 4 months for me. Junk.
    3- the panasonic is hideous
    4- ions on panasonic is a gimmick that works as well as a snake oil cure for cancer
    5- dyson weight is in the handle and allows styling to be more accurate
    6- panasonic feels like a walgreens burner phone compared to the dyson which is like an iphone
    7- the 3 heat and fan settings on the dyson are perfection and i almost never use it on full blast so it is much quieter than this video purports.
    8- another lie in this video is how the panasonic is more compact. Nonsense. Because of its moving parts, shape and awkward balance it never fits anywhere well and is always falling.
    There are zero advantages the panasonic has over the dyson besides price. Anyone that has owned a dyson product knows how exceptional the build quality and engineering are backed by an industry breaking warranty. I would avoid the advice in this video at all costs as a viewer because its a misnomer and senseless. It is the equivalent of comparing a $70k mercedes to a $15k honda. Silly.

    • @AskAshley
      @AskAshley  7 лет назад +27

      Hello, thank you for your comment. We are all entitled to our opinions so I wouldn't say that viewers should completely avoid my advice in this video. I reviewed both hairdryers from a regular consumer standpoint and gave my honest opinion based on all the factors that I explained in the video :)
      Those that only drive a Mercedes probably would never purchase a Honda, but it doesn't mean those who drive a Honda wouldn't purchase a Mercedes. Comparison videos will never be fully accurate unless you are comparing apples to apples. As a professional hair stylist myself, I wouldn't choose either the Dyson or Panasonic when I work on my clients as I much prefer the BaByliss, but let that be a completely different comparison video on it's own.
      This video was meant to give a snapshot of both hairdryers. I'm sure certain criteria will be more important for some and not for others. At the end of the day, you are the buyer so choose the hairdryer that most suits your needs!

      AskAshley I think you did a great job! Especially for those who really need to consider spending $500-specifically on a blow dryer. I will take your advice and try the ionity. Even if I need to replace the dryer once a year, it'll take me more than 10 years to pay $500.

    I don't really know how you could even compare them? Innovations with just regular dryer. Lol That was funny to watch. Especially speed of drying process. What is obviously a big lie. Dyson invented in UK to be safe for European hair, especially for curly one. Ergonomic design, speed and safety for hair. Yes, it does cost it's money. I was actually looking for bag reviews I already have my dyson. Your video is misleading a big way.

    You're just a shill for Panasonic. Getting paid to lie. The Dyson is the best blowdryer on the market. Expensive but you pay for quality.

      ed3432 my Panasonic actually blow dries my hair faster than my Paul Mitchell blow dryer. So I dont know how much she is stretching about it.
