There are few players that have as mythical a status as Robin Friday. The former Reading and Cardiff forward has a seemingly endless array of stories told about him, and whilst none of his greatest moments can be found on film, his legend has, and will continue to be passed through the generation.

My favourite Robin Friday story is that he once didn't show up for training. One of his coaches was driving home and spotted him working on someone's driveway with a gang of gypsies who were running a tarmac scam.
