I would like to correct you on this 1st Harry Catterick left Sheffield Wednesday in 1961 owing to the lack of buying power to buy the players he wanted. Also, Harry Catterick did not get on with Sheffield Wednesday's General Secretary/General Manager Eric Taylor. 2nd Tony Kaye put the bet on Sheffield Wednesday v Ipswich Town in 1962, not Everton v Ipswich with David "Bronco" Lane & Peter Swan. Tony Kaye was still a Wedneday player in December 1962

Actually, Brazil could never "avenge" this loss, as Uruguay remains undefeated in home soil on FIFA or CONMEBOL official tournaments (something that neither Brazil nor Argentina can say -being Uruguay the main reason for that-). Brazil had its chances though. In January 10th 1981, Brazil played at the "Estadio Centenario" of Montevideo, Uruguay, against the hoss for the final of the World Champions Championship (a.j.a. "Mundialito" or "Copa de Oro", after eliminating Argentina and Germany, while Uruguay dispatching Italy and the Netherlands -England withdrew-). At that moment, the tournament was under the world spotlight (criminally went into oblivion, as it was a fantastic one). Uruguay won 2-1 again agains a phenomenal Brazil team featuring almost all stars that played/shined in 1982 FIFA WC. By 1983, they meet again at the America Cup final. The first leg played in Uruguay was another defeat for Brazil (2-0), while Uruguay won the tournament by tying the second leg match in Brazil (played at Bahia... still haunted Brazil from "Maracanazo" they avoided playing in their main stadium). Never again a final was held between the two in Uruguayan soil to avenge that loss in an important and official tournament. What is true is that Brazil became football's greatest superpower after 1950 (1958 onwards to be more accurate), no doubt about that.

Absolute great video and very interesting to hear about Vic Buckingham as I was at Fulham when he was there. He was a manager if you were injured you were dead wood as he would say which obviously did not go down too well with the players. He fell out with Rodney Marsh who was such a great player but it did not matter to Vic Buckingham who you were and how good you were if you did not follow what he said you were finished and out the door and that was what happened to Rodney Marsh who went to QPR. And with Unai Emry at the helm hopefully "We win again". Europe here we come. But, I would swap a Champions League Cup for the Holy Grail....FA Cup. I was at Feynoord Stadium in Rotterdam on 26th May 1982 to see fantastic achievement of Dennis Mortimer raising European Cup. But I need an FA Cup win in my lifetime. My dad went to Wembley and saw Villa beat Man Utd in 1957 FA Cup. (We haven't won it since). I was but a twinkle in my dad's eye as I was born in 1959. So, an FA Cup win is what I pray for.😢😊

John fashanu could not play football, he was just a black racist thug who used football to do violence to white men, and pretended these white men were racist, when he was the racist. Typical black thug, but he got to use it in football Fashanu could not play football at all, he was just a thug upfront for wimbledon Despite him, you have to respect what they did as a team, they got plenty of results against far better teams. They were just a pain for all the teams who wanted to play football, and they got results. Fashanu was a horrible person, a black racist thug who got famous due to football, when he had no football skill at all. The man should of been arrested many times for the violence he did to white men, and he pretended it was due to them being racist, when it was the other way round. Typical black thug. When they stuck to playing football they were fine, and on those days any team could of been beaten by them. Fair play to them for getting the results they did, others can hate them all they want, no one says football has only one way to be played. Personally i had respect for them, although no one could really like them beyond there own fans.

Either way, Shankly built the foundation to make the team the BEST in Europe of the mid 70's and early 80's when it came to European Cup success. He had Bob Paisley as a great successor that didn't mess up the formula and allowed the team to continue winning and and be successful all those years. Yeah it’s great, could tell how much it meant to them especially GWR, some people think it should be at smaller venue but I think having it at Wembley adds so much

I was outside Wembley trying to sneak in. The gate keeper opened the gates in anticipation of the crowd exiting. Me and a few mates ran up the stairs just in time to see Charlie George score the winner.
