Love the series, can't wait for the next episode! These videos bring me so much nostalgia since il2 was my childhood game so thanks for making them! :)
Good shootin' on that last one. You're coming in for landing far too hot and steep, driving your nose down toward the deck. You should cross the fantail at perhaps half the speed here. I'm a fan of the Pacific theatre, and more so the first half of the war. This fits for me. 😊
Welcome to a new series and new career, very fascinating to see the war from the aggressors side of the board, first flight.. and second flights.. yeah bad landings on the carrier but hey.. happens to all of us, just a case of getting used to the controls and management of the aircraft, damaged landing gear can be repaired no problem and a damaged engine. Second flight congratulations on gaining your first kill, first of many without any doubt, and looking forward to seeing how this series progresses. This series is off to a great start, it's incredibly fascinating to see how it all began in the east in mainland Asia, the Vietnam map is quite a pleasant and creative.. and I might add fun touch.. I also find the aircraft models very creative and fun also, this looks like it's going to be a fun series indeed.. and I'm already looking forward to the next episode, congratulations on a successful new series, your content is just epic.. just awesome.. truly ace material. Fly safe bro and happy hunting mate, well done mate 👏👍
You can only feel for the one enemy trying to land. Imagine you get shot to pieces, can barely keep your plane up in the air. That is what anyone would to short of bailing out.
You need to land waaaaaay slower in the A5M. It lands close to 100-130 km/h, it's almost like landing a biplane. The I-16 is oddly fragile at times. I've had missions (flying the Fiat G.50) where I explosively detached one's wings, and another where the aircraft straight up exploded, in spite of the G.50 only having a pair of Breda 12.7s (way worse than US .50s). Japanese planes have insane range. I flew a few missions in the Ki-43 that were 3+ hours long where I still had 60% fuel left from
There is a good campaign for the BAT mod featuring the historical missions as a Kate torpedo bomber (Kate) for Ryujo carrier wing, maybe wort giving a shot some day?
Nice! I was wondering where you would take the next campaign. Be very interested to see how this goes, hopefully better than the Italian campaign! Also, cool setup for the mission re: static vs. dynamic.
It probably won't end up being a very fun experience with a mouse. The joystick I use I got for about $25-$30 and is quite solid, especially for the price. Would certainly recommend using a joystick because the only other way to fly is with your keyboard using the arrow keys.

Your first two missions and the repair crew already hates you, a good start.
A5M was the first operational carrier based monoplane in existence, thats probably what you were thinking.
I was going to say the same :)

SPOILER ALERT!
This is perfect, how immersive, you are basically the new pilot in the squadron, you wrecked the plane on landing and everything.
Started my own ironman IJA campaign.....
Survived 3 missions and was shot down KIA in wake island

Interesting, once the Ironman series is over I will definitely be open to trying out some campaigns and showcasing them on the channel.

cool
Lending speed is OK but approaching with too steep angel
Great series! Do you use mouse and keyboard or do you have a joystick setup?
You don't fly anywhere remotely this smoothly with keyboard, and 1946 has no mouse joystick, mouse is dedicated to lookin around.
please tell me, is it possible to play this part with a mouse without a joystick?
