    First off, great video. Great lesson you’ve nailed Warren’s tone as well as his style in creating licks as well! Secondly, coming from a fellow DENVER BRONCOS fan as well as a fellow MULE/ WH/ ALLMAN BROS fan….. Thank you. This video will get watched possibly hundreds of times by me! You’re the man!

    Good lord I've been looking for something like this for years. You hit all the quintessential Warren licks! Thank you so much!
    Just curious, do you watch videos of him playing live and study his techniques?

    • @JameyArent
      @JameyArent  3 года назад +4

      Glad it was helpful! I’ve just listened to so much of Warren’s material that I’ve picked up some of these lines along the way and made them part of my own improvisational vocabulary.

    Thanks for the lesson. There isn't really too much warren stuff out there. Was staring at my old VHS Hot Licks cassette from the 90s wishing I still had a VCR.

    • @JameyArent
      @JameyArent  3 года назад +1

      I used to have that video, it’s a great one! I learned so much from ‘80’s and ‘90’s Hot Licks videos. Thanks for watching my lesson.

    I love Warren Haynes style. Thank you for some insight into how he plays. I wonder if you've seen his part in All Along The Watchtower in Playing for Change? I'd love to see a break down of those licks! Especially the beginning!

      Govt Mule version. Allman Bros version is more straight minor/major pent mix. Warren really mixed things up on the Mule version

    • @larryfitzgerald2945
      @larryfitzgerald2945 6 месяцев назад

      I like both versions, learned the Mule version first, the Bros version has a smoother groove and some nice tricks, especially Warren’s part. Dicky’s lead was pretty straight then Warren started out easy and each lick became more intense

    Awesome video! Any chance the tabs are available somewhere that I don't know about?

    • @JameyArent
      @JameyArent  3 года назад

      Thanks! No TAB available for this lesson. I'd recommend using the built.in slow down feature on RUclips if you'd really like to study the lines more in depth.

    What's the story with your Princeton Jamey? 12" speaker? Sounds fantastic. You definitely got a nice chewy Warren Haynes thing going in this one with the LP! Nice job

      Thanks! It’s a ‘65 reissue that’s been modded by Fargen Amps. It has a 10” Eminence Rajun Cajun speaker, Mercury Magnetics transformers and a power scaling knob.

    You absolutely dialed in to the Warren tone also. What are you using amp/effects wise?

    Yes. Great video. Thanks so much for posting this. I have seen Warren play many times, so i've heard all the licks LOL but i have to say that the live version of Back Where it All Begins from the ABB live "An Evening With the Allman Bros" really blows my mind every time. So well composed and flows beautifully. ruclips.net/video/M4UFm_xhXwg/видео.html
    thanks again. Rock on!

      @@JameyArent I suppose if there was an ask in my last comment it would be to hear you focus on some of his repetitive mixolydian riffs. thanks. 🙏
