This is extraordinary, in November, 2023 we went to Tromsø, honestly it was breathtaking. Northern lights, beautiful fjords, reindeer, whales, husky sleds and I even caught a little ermine come running out a Hole! I’ll never forget that trip
@@ForestBarkdollWeil also just so you know, wonderful place to spot moose, I know Vesterålen is better but there are loads. We didn’t spot any though😢 but I’m going to a zoo in Scotland that has them! That cheers me up😊. And if your lucky you might even spot the super elusive… Eurasian lynx! Didn’t see one of them either😂

This is an incredible film - beautifully edited. I visited Lofoten in May 2023 when obviously there was much less snow, and would love to go back in winter. I recognise almost all the locations in your film!
What a glorious piece -- I love especially the scenes of lighted homes in the snow-covered magestic landscapes; and of course the changing rhythms of human and natural life so beautifully filmed and set to music. What a treat for the senses. A true gem.

stunning photography...especially the drone shots...loved the 'fluff, fluff, fluff' of the crane and the almost daytime-into-nighttime transitions with that wipe of a filter effect! and, where did the music come from? powerful and felt like it was leading us to uh...possibly some joyus boisterous singing in a bar - something to release the beautiful tension you were building. thanks again for taking us with you!

That was a very enjoyable 5.23 minutes , Great editing and great film making , You did Lofoten a credit by showing off the beauty and dramatic landscape . I was there for a holiday 3 years ago and fell in love with what I saw , Norway is now a special place for me and hope to return soon , Hopefully in the winter months i'll visit Lofoten and stay in one of the old red fishing huts, Great work Forest Barkdoll-Weil .

Very beautiful. What are the last shots, is it a kind of filter you a drawing over the original or the other way round ? I know colours can be amazing in the high north. I have visited in Summertime, I suppose this is later in wintertime when the sun is visable again. It must me a magical time.
Thanks a bunch! So the ending is a before/after showing the color grading (editing the colors in the video). Basically, I shoot in what's called Log format which makes the video very "flat" but gives me a lot of ability to bring out the color and contrast.
Tourism Norway should pay you for this! :D Amazing cinematic short film, the sound & video editing is really top quality! I couldn't believe how you got rid of the noise in those Dlog shots is post, did you use any particular software? I find shooting in low light situations with DLOG the footage can be pretty soft.
Would you mind if I use some of the material from your video to complete my work? If that’s okay, it would be fantastic. Of course, there’s no problem at all if you decline.

The video is fantastic, but Tromso has many restricted areas for drone use; most of these clips are taken outside Tromso. Am I wrong?
