Eaglemoss Hero Collection - Star Trek Enterprise D (Bankruptcy)

Today's video is not about RVs, RV upgrades or campground, but a subject that is certainly important to me, a hobby. The company Eaglemoss which markets a collection of very detailed die cast models called the Hero Collection has filed for the US equivalent of bankruptcy in the UK. I'm not sure what this means for all the customers who had subscriptions for the various die cast models that they were offering, but this cannot be good. For one, I have not received this month's build kit and I have not received the replacement parts that I needed to continue the build. While this may seem like a small thing to some, I'm very disappointed by this news, I had spent a considerable amount of very entertaining time building the Star Trek Enterprise D model to this point and had big plans for it's completed state. I plan to make sure that the company Eaglemoss has a link to this RUclips video, I suggest that others point them to this video as well. For all those who are building the Eaglemoss Hero Collection models...all I can say is, I'm there with you...

Many of us in the same situation with kits. I am 16 kits away from finishing my Delorean build. I was going to start the Enterprise but told myself to wait till my car was done. With mods I am 1800.00 in on my car but glad I held off on the ship.

Already started the ship they have to forfill the order it’s gonna be included in the bankruptcy approval so there’s no worries

Yes your not alone on this I have back to the future DeLorean just needed 4 more kits to complete they did change me for them and never received them this sucks badly

It's not over folks. Best to be patient. The company is in Administration, so all the books are being looked at and no decision has yet been made was to what will be the next course of action.
It's possible that a buyer will bring back Eaglemoss (depending on the debt the company holds).
Or another company will take on the part works - it is worth noting that DeAgostini Japan distributes the Enterprise -D and the Delorean is distributed by DeAgostini Spain, but was Eaglemoss in UK.
The parts are in China and they need to be shifted....but to who? Don't be surprised if you will be asked to make a full upfront payment for all the parts.

Hope is not a plan, haha, but I do hope you are correct sir. I have four build kits sitting on my workbench and I can't proceed until I receive replacement parts...IF I could purchase let's say, build "X" forward to completion all at once, would I do it? Yes, of course I would. I consider it this way, considering the limited production run of these models, it's only logical that completed models MIGHT one day be valuable, but that's not my reason, I just think it's geeky cool.

I'm seven issues away from a finished Ecto1. I'm really hoping they get this straightened out. I talked myself into this kit back in 2020 when I preordered.....never again.

While I understand companies struggling, to me, there seemed to be no indicators that Eaglemoss was hurting financially. IMO, the pandemic situation should have increased their business with those having to stay/work from home. Further, it seemed like a good business model, they charged me automatically for the build kits and other items...I was OK with that as long as they delivered...

I wish i knew what to do with my Enterprise. no news from England about eaglemoss makes me think no one will get a complete kit.

I’m just going to wait till there is something final from Eaglemoss before I decide what to do with my kit. I’ve got up to issue 20. If Eaglemoss vanishes of the earth and no one like Fantome takes over. I’ll either learn 3D modeling and printing in hope of fill in the blanks or make a “what if” mod where the enterprise gets assimilated by the borg.

I heard that the parts manufacture in China still wants to move its products. It may be a problem considering they no longer have the IP rights... But China being China I just hope they move on and continue to make parts. I'm 3/4s of the way with my Ecto-1 build. It's too mad this happened. The Ent. D looks amazing!

Don't think there are any bigger stocks of parts or models left. Eaglemoss didn't paid the manufacture for month... They stopped producing a longer time ago. And if you can find parts the price will skyrocket....
More likley internet legends.

I got quite a few things from Eaglemoss, luckily no Parts Built items but I got Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Aliens and Dr Who stuff...I wonder if it will appreciate in Value from now?

I think eaglemoss has liquidised and Fandom has taken it over
