Hamz Nakivubo Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in Kampala, Uganda. It was formerly known as Nakivubo Stadium at Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds. It was recently renovated in order to host CHAN 2024 and AFCON 2027. It was formerly the home field for SC Villa and was primarily utilized for football games.
When construction eventually ends, the stadium's prime location in the center of Kampala and its illustrious past in Ugandan football will be rekindled. With its upgraded and distinctive amenities, including a contemporary artificial turf, VIP boxes, VVIP and executive boxes, restaurants, and cafeterias, among others, the facility has already played a significant part in the AFCON 2027 East Africa Pamoja bid. These will raise awareness of the nation's football infrastructure.
