I honestly believe a lot of Blazes 06 story was left unfinished, as it really seems like the Sol Emeralds had sent her into Sonics future where the disaster had already long since occured, so she likely assumed everyone was well.. already dead, and Silver was just all that was left of the world. Which would explain why she recognized the sound of the "blue hedgehog" but probably has a hard time believing it because she doesn't realize she's in the future at first. I think they couldn't really figure out how to fit in a plot point of her convincing Silver that Sonic is a good person since Amy had already filled that role in the script they wrote, which is a shame because instead of having Amy shoehorned into the story where she wasn't needed they could've spent that time developing Blaze and really making her into a good character capable of interacting with the entire cast.
Totally agree with everything you said, in hindsight I don't think they anticipated us looking this deep into it all these years later so it is what it is I guess. But her being in 06 had a lot more potential than how it played out.
3:51 she didn’t see sonic in the emerald right? Silver never says “sonic”; he says, “blue hedgehog”. Blaze may think it might just be a coincidence at first; which would make sense, because at 4:50, she says that line in a way that makes it sound like she’s intrigued by the mention of a “blue hedgehog”. Here at, 5:15 it seems like she’s saying she needs to find Silver fast due to her fearing that it may not be a coincidence after all (which is why when she said, “can it be true?” I assumed she was making the connection) At 6:33 and 6:45 I mean, Sonic says, “you” and “your” meaning he could be focusing on Silver here; because he knows Blaze isn’t from the future (doesn’t explain why she doesn’t talk to him tho; maybe she saw how distraught sonic was and didn’t know what to say due to her lack of social skills? Idk ). 7:43 Yeah
He’s acting like Ian Flynn didn’t explain why the characters don’t acknowledge each other in the same podcast! He said that the characters don’t need to have expanded dialogue to confirm past events in the games. It’s that simple. But even still if you actually pay attention to the characters or just READ a codex or 2 you’ll find a lot of lore… The black arms were confirmed and recalled by Eggman in base Frontiers. Shadow has that dog in him he eradicated his own species to save the Earth and/or Mobius.
Props to 2 people. One to you or whoever played 06 to record the scenes and actually read into it, that must’ve been hard lol. And to Ian Flynn (I think I got the name right) for just trying his best to try and fix the mess 06 made and try to make things make sense and work together, I hope he pulls through and am really glad he got put in for working on the lore for sonic, he’s really good at it and does it right.
I feel like she was originally from sonic's world/silver's future, but was destroyed/faded out of existence upon merging with Iblis. Ultimately got reconstituted in the Sol dimension, along with the Sol Emeralds being created from what was left of Iblis' power. The Sol Dimension likely wasn't localized in terms of time/space with Mobius Prime, so she's slightly younger than sonic as a result
There was a interview from Sonic Channel that Blaze was going to travel to Sonics world but the sol emeralds accidentally sent her to the future. Also she says “the Past” because she’s was seeing Sonics world during the present she never saw it during the past before she started traveling to Sonics world and the cutscene blaze and sonic might’ve already crossed paths in 06’s story. So it makes perfect sense also love your content. In Generations Time Eater erased events not restored them. It reversed it that’s why only Sonic and Elise remember fragments of 06 that was also in a Sonic Channel interview.
I do feel like, overall, Sonic 06's plot was like a first draft. Those are usually not good, but show off the potential. It was obviously a consequence of the game getting rushed, but I think it really could have worked if they did some revisions, like explain how, why, and what Blaze was doing in the future of Sonic's world.
If Rush takes place before ‘06, then I’d like to ask this question. She was friends with Silver in ‘06, and in Sonic Rush, she sees friendship as a sort of foreign concept. So, my question is, why wouldn’t she recall having a friendship with someone in Sonic Rush when she supposedly remembered the events of ‘06 in Sonic Generations; which comes after ‘06 and Rush in the timeline? You could say that she just forgot about her relationship with Silver, but then how does she remember being in Crisis City? I appreciate that they’re trying to connect the lore and everything, but I feel like it’s getting more confusing and complicated, the more we find out. I would like some explanations that come from some really deep thinking and research to answer lots of the important questions fans have with certain parts of the franchise. If I ask a question, I should be able to get an answer that makes sense within the connotation. I hope they can sort out all of the lore issues with Sonic that have been going on lately.
Sonic also remembers a location from 06 in the 9000th comic special. I’m pretty sure the best way to rationalize it is to assume the characters may remember some of the locations, but not everything that happened. Like a dream, you’re only able to remember bits and pieces.
Same reason Silver don't remember he meet Sonic and Shadow in Rivals and he don't know who was Blaze in Colors DS. ALL characters forget 06's events, even Elise and Sonic, and it was like that until Generation with the time eater who play with the timeline.
Blaze is a very interesting character and I really like Blaze. Blaze definitely has some confuse Sonic Lore. Blaze story starts when she was chasing Eggman and then she was in Sonic World and then Sonic and Blaze became friends. Blaze definitely has a cool character ARK. Blaze in Sonic 06 feels different from Sonic Rush. I honestly think when Blaze die at the end of Sliver story Blaze went back to her dimension. I honestly think that Blaze is kinda a different person in Sonic 06. When Blaze die at the end of Sonic 06 I was like Blaze definitely went back to her dimension. I definitely think that it would fit that Sonic Rush takes place after Sonic 06. It’s kinda weird in Sonic 06 how she find killing Sonic but in Sonic Rush they become friends. Blaze feels like she not the same from Sonic Rush. Great video My Dude)
Could the portal that takes Sonic to Another Story (Update 3) on Ouranos Island in Sonic Frontiers be connected to those "mysterious portals" that allow Silver to travel the timeline? If some otherworldly power or unknown technology left behind by one of the ancient extinct civilizations allows these portals to happen, could there be a connection between the two? Maybe OG Ouranos Island actually happened but whoever or whatever is behind the portals decided that's not the right course of history, essentially redirecting Sonic (maybe before they flew off Ouranos in the tornado) to the new ending through the portal? Just spitballing and having fun, seems unlikely, fun theory tho
Maybe it could be a thing of Blaze doing jobs for other dimensions. Those responsibilities could sometimes prompt her into forgetting her memories in order to not conflict with the duty at hand. Weird interdimensional business shenanigans going on that Blaze works under. Like Shadow working for GUN but more grander.
As true as that could be in the IDW comics which are canon she does remember Sonic and exactly what the Chaos Emeralds are and even knows what Super Sonic is something she can't remember as you put it if she forgets her visit to the main version of Mobius/Earth but as she can still remember Sonic and the abilities of the Chaos Emeralds it contradicts things
Nah, ‘06 was a reboot, so they changed the characters up. If ‘06 succeeded, SEGA would’ve stated that it was all a reboot, which is why Blaze had a different role
I think that at the end of rush when sonic and blaze are being pulled back into their world’s, instead of going back to her dimension blaze gets pulls to sonic world’s future where she meets silver and forgets everything about her events with sonic (that’s why she responds to hearing about a blue hedgehog in 06). Then after 06 she gets teleported back to her dimension and regains her memories about sonic but forgets everything about 06.
I wouldn't mind if they were just 2 different versions of Blaze. A story with a character from another dimension can easily get away with incorporating a counterpart from the cast's home dimension and have easily explainable similarities and differences
the problem is mainly just there is barely much of any context of why she is in the future in 06 she's just there, so like any possible explanation is just "it happened offscreen"
Blaze’s lines in 06 seem less like she doesn’t know sonic at all, but rather that it rings a bell for her, it could be that for blaze, rush and 06 take place a very long time apart, considering that she hangs out with silver in the future and that she doesn’t seem aware of the current state of affairs in sonic’s world it’s probably safe to say that the version of blaze in 06 is from 200 years in the future, she’s a magical fire princess so maybe she doesn’t age or something, if that’s the case she could have easily forgotten about sonic, at least partially.
Blaze and Silver are pretty good characters of the entire series. It's awesome that they added her in SSS. She did play a big role in 06 and Rush, and I'm not going to lie, she is a pretty good character. I get her feelings at the beginning, because me personally I do get concerned when it comes to teamwork. I would give is character around a 8.5/10. How they explained it, was understanding, and I do believe Rush is Canon. I do like this video essay because it gives me for information I didn't know. Thank you for another banger upload, Chris!
One thing i never see anyone bring up, just because she was in the future with Silver in 06, does not mean she is necessarily FROM there, she could've gone there from her own dimension sensing a disturbance from the flames of iblis via sight beyond sight with the Sol emeralds, and it could threaten to destroy her world so she chose to stay and help Silver. Her dying was more her being FORCIBLY sent to the Sol dimension, with her mastery over fire it would make sense she would not necessarily die from taking the Iblis fire, and the Sol Emeralds kicking in the moment she materialized in her own world, which perhaps overrode the Iblis flames and she was normal again. I'm not saying thats what they intended in 06, but i am saying that's probably the best way to explain the burning blaze blurb from Flynn, and unifying the character versions. The thing with Blaze not ever even seemingly NOTICED by Sonic is probably just a directive oversight, she clearly knows him based on some of her dialogue. There's a whole theory that she's just a figment of Silvers imagination because of this haha. Though that wouldn't really work since she has her own agency when she's away from Silver.
Agree, don't know why so much fans assume she come from Silver's future in 06 when this game never say that and her description say she come from another dimension. After I doubt she know Sonic and the Chaos emeralds because Rush since she never make any link with this aventure and wasn't even really concerned more than "a blue hedgehog". She don't even make the link between Sonic dimension who turn to become Silver apocaliptic future and yet just the chaos emerald is enough to make this conclusion. Her definition of the chaos emeralds as a lucky charm don't fit what she learned in rush. Sound more like an old story she could learn when she was in the future.
Blaze and Silver are very underrated characters that need a better introduction into the sonic franchise, as well as better plot to make them feel like important pieces of a puzzle rather than an incovience to the cast. (E.G similar to Shadows implementation into the story) I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of Sonic 06?
My head cannon was that Blaze from 06 is the og blaze and when she dies she's reincarnated in the soul dimension with fleeting memories of her previous incarnation. So I don't like this new cannon clarification.
i think 06 takes place some time after rush, or the sol dimension passes time differently, cause blaze seems to pause for a second after hearing “blue hedgehog.” maybe she got deja vu or something or maybe in canon she didn’t say those things and it got retconned or whatever
I have an idea because Blaze is from a parallel dimension after Sonic Rush the Blaze we know went back to her dimension with this dimensions Blaze being a totally different person and going along with Silver because this dimensions Blaze and Sonic hadn't met yet. Also at the end of 06 when the timeline had been reset the Sol Dimensions Blaze wasn't affected by the timeline reset because of the fact that different dimensions have different timelines making her still remember Sonic.
Believing that she was sent in another dimention in Sonic 2006 and had a new life as a princess in Sonic rush before time erased everything (but prevents her to return in her original dimention) seems more coherent than saying that Sonic rush happens before Sonic 2006: even Sonic would have say more about her and vice versa. That's why I think, in the chronological order, we have: Sonic 2006, Sonic rivals 1 & 2, Sonic rush and Sonic rush adventure (because Sonic meets Dr Eggman Nega for the first time without his disguise in Sonic rush contrary to Sonic rivals 1 & 2 where he thought fighting the regular Dr Eggman without any information about the real culprit).
Blaze come from Sol dimension in 06 and was send in Silver future for an unexplaindd reason (guess it's because the Sol emeralds) Because the time reset her time travel don't happen and she just continue her princess/guardian life without her 06's memories. Then rush happen and in generation she remember 06's events because of the time eater who play with the timeline.
So Blaze is supposed to be the sonic of her own dimension so in my opinion should not there exist a shadow version from the same dimension So if her name is blaze and her theme is fire, what about blizzard the cat the theme ice?
I like to think Sonic Rush and 06 happened at the same time with the latter being erase, creating this kind of paradox affect. The Sonic lore also considers time as an another dimension so time The Sol Dimension may travel differently compared to Sonic's World, then again its probably best not over think it and just Rush as Blaze's intro and Rivals for Silver
Considering that 06 was in development way longer than Rush due to how it's written, there's no way I'm gonna say that Rush is before 06. She obviously doesn't know him during the game, so 06 should come first. Thus, forgetting about him, and they truly meet in Sonic Rush and become friends
Blaze may have memories of 06 unlike other characters because she departed from the story before the end of the game? These things would be much easier to explain if they had just decided to decanonise 06 completely, but that's not really possible because of it being included as part of the series in Generations. I appreciate they weren't thinking much about lore then and just wanted a game celebrating the history of the franchise with iconic levels (and Crisis City is certainly a unique and iconic level theme), but it's certainly made things more complicated. Maybe we should've gotten a Secret Rings level or something for Generations instead lol
in my headcannon 06 Blaze is an alternate Blaze from an future sol dimension which lost her memories because she got pulled into the main dimension by Eggman Nega which stole the sol emeralds and drained them, before Iblis completly abosrbed the sol emeralds, to travel to the past of the Sol Dimension.. (and just so everybody knows...in my headcannon Iblis is the Sol Dimension version of Chaos)
Blaze definitely needs to be rewrite correctly and forget the sol dimension just have them both be in the same world together. Blaze is an amazing character who doesn't get a lot of screen time.
Yknow what would fix all the problems? Is by simply saying that 06 is a different dimension. Which it is. Cause it was clearly a reboot. It's a different timeline. The reason it doesn't make sense to the original canon, is because it isn't the original canon.
This being the case, then Crisis City in Generations should not exist. The developers of Generations made an unintentional retcon putting that level there.
@@Matikal-nu8wd Exactly, that's the point. They are trying to force it into the canon. Which is stupid. Just keep it separated. Multiple dimensions exist. Just make it an alternate world. There's no "making" it anything. It already is. Or was. But to be fair, the events of 06 weren't suppose to exist anymore, which implies that Time Eater can reverse and bring back timelines. Which is cool. But still stupid to add it in, from a canonical perspective.
Thing about the ending is that you left out the fact that she didn’t tell Silver to sacrifice her life with Iblis now sealed in her, she said to SEAL Iblis in another dimension along with her. That’s the sacrifice. Not her dying but no longer being with Silver in that world. That basically creates her origin on why she resides in the Sol Dimenstion in the first place. When she leaves, Iblis does too, so there’s sunshine again. And that would also further explain why she would be so emotionally withdrawn during the events of Rush and her whole character arc. It’s supposed to be that she has such high status and responsibilities as princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds but if Iblis is still inside her, then just like Elise, she would have even more reason to not let anyone in and not show any weakness just like she does in Rush since crying is what breaks the seal. So I would say that maybe 06 took place before Rush and she simply forgot the events of that game too like everyone else, hence why she didn’t recognize Sonic in Rush. So basically, the times they met in Rush and 06 were both the first times they met. But Sonic is supposed to have remembered those events if we’re to take the hints that make that so, so that still doesn’t really work.
Correct except for the point where Sonic is supposed to remembered 06 events (at least before Generation). Even if it's sound logic because he was present when Elise blow the flame, Rival show the exact opposite because he don't know who was Silver. I also like your interpretation of Iblis sealed in Blaze who can have an impact on her behavior. Because sorry to say that but when we look at Blaze in rush (strict, impulsive, don't want to accept friendship because she see her flame as a curse...) and we look at what they do with Sol Dimension (peaceful world, barely one threath, no aventure except if Sonic is involved, all inhabitant seem to like Blaze and have no problem with her power, she even have guards and ministers to help her in her duty...) both aren't really compatible. It's even look like she was overdramatic in Rush for nothing.
Since the characters look so different from Rush to 06 it could be assumed they maybe got older In between those games and just didn’t recognize each other.
that's thing, colours ds comes in and goes "oh yes remember silver and blaze were close friends 06, here is a scene of them somehow feeling like their friendship was meant to be for an unexplained reason" probably a way to restablish their relationship but does reference 06 in a minor way that explains said reason. colours ds by TSR standards is canon and you see why people can't forget
Imo, the best solution would be to remake 06 and make the story fit with the rest of the sonic timeline, seeing how the game was originally meant to be a reboot
For me the answer given creates more problems that it fixes them, only because they wanna explain why she's so cooperative with Silver and why she remembers Crisis City. I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to go with the fan theory because that one makes so much more sense in terms continuity and her character development from Rush onwards; To me, it makes far more sense that initially both Blaze and Silver were from Sonic's dimension, born as survivors and trying to prevent their apocalyptic future and in their in quest for salvation she would've learned of the Chaos Emerals, explaining why she'd be familiar with them but sharing her knowledge about them not as someone who has witnessed their power before hand because she'd know their power is equivalent to that of her emeralds', but rather as someone who learned from them through a legend which is the way most characters that aren't part of the Sonic cast know them from based on the public information around them. From this background you get proper explanation why she is so unfazed towards Sonic's existence or why she's so apathetic to his death, and why she finds the present so odd yet interesting. And also would justify her sacrificing herself knowing full well that once she died in her dimension the Sol Emeralds no longer would have a guardian, and her kingdom would be left without a ruler; If you ask me it makes sense that Rush happens after because, even though she lacks memories from '06's events happening, you could blame it on Blaze that '06's Crisis City was present in Generations as it is her own existence as a paradox that sent her back to a timeline that should've been erased, because that's her actual origins as a being, the place she was originally from; And ultimately this might have awaken those memories on her, which would fix both these plot-holes in Generations and connecting these games in a coherent manner. Further I would dare to believe her sacrifice might of have been what ultimately gave her fire powers wether in her next life or after being sent to the Sol dimension, as Ian Flynn believes. I'd like to believe Blaze ran almost the same fate Elise went though her life with the spin of an immediate death, that she got killed in her process of suppressing Iblis yet in return was reborn with its fire nature. With the side-effects being lack of memory and the built in nature of not wanting to get attached anyone else, maybe a subconscious defense mechanism after what happened with Silver in her previous life.
Remember we got white in the thing because she said blue hedgehog so she knows of all the blue hedgehog song which one she goes to sing her memory is gone because of somebody cause in the regular comic. It shows up Waze is fine coming back, so probably this is beef I mean before, so this is so maybe someone sabotage your bike well hitting her with something to make a memory gone maybe silver yeah, probably so far😅
So, does this mean Iblis from Silver’s time is still sealed within Blaze? I mean, you’d think her being in another dimension would spare her from the wiping of the game from the timeline. She didn’t show up in the Last Story, so it’s safe to say her dimension was unaffected of she warped there. That means Iblis is still out there and, if Blaze cries, she will unknowingly release it
My view on things require a lot of headcannon, but here goes nothing. When Elise blew out the Flame of Solaris, that forced a soft reset on the universe, one where Solaris doesn't exist. Blaze did die at the end of Silver's story in Sonic 06, but that was in a future created by Iblis, who no longer exists. When the universe was reborn in a fashion where Solaris doesn't exist, Blaze, for whatever reason, was put into a new side parallel dimension where she was born of royal descent and follows precisely what Sonic Rush and Rush Adventure sets up. I know none of this accounts for how Blaze remembers Crisis City, but even without headcannon it doesn't make sense why Crisis City is in Sonic Generations to begin with. While the whole "universe being reborn" thing might be a bit of a stretch, it's still more realistic than "Blaze didn't die, she just somehow turned into Burning Blaze and made her own dimension" even though we literally saw Blaze die on screen.
I got a theory once Blaze was supposed to go home she last her memory and landed in the future I think she regains her memory by the end of silver’s story
I think I know how she is alive. In the end of sonic 06 after the true final boss, sonic and elis went to the past and blew out the flame which was Solaris. Since Eblis is made from Solaris, if there's so Solaris there is no Eblis, and if there is no Eblis there is no reason for her to die.
Here is my theory: Sonic Rush comes first where Blaze and Bonic meet. In Sonic 06 Blaze knows Sonic but doesn't want to tell Silver. After she goes Burning Blaze she forgets MOST of the events of 06 just like we should. And that's how she remembers crisis city in Sonic Generations.
"The iblis trigger.. A blue hedgehog, could it be true?!" This is literally Blaze pondering if the hedgehog is Sonic, why? Because she knows who Sonic is, how? Because it takes place after Rush. The fact of 06 taking place after Blaze should be obvious, her returning to her home dimension at the end of Silvers story should also be obvious, all this is obvious if you just literally pay attention
Also "there's no Sol emeralds so how could she go burning Blaze" oh gee, if only she absorbed a powerful fire entity with power comparable to the emeralds.... Oh wait.
Yeah it's blaze pondering if it was sonic... or, that's just one interpretation of it. The other interpretation is that blaze is surprised to hear that the present (Sonic's future) is completely fucked up because of one blue hedgehog. That's the whole deal with this sort of thing, whether or not blaze knows sonic may or may not be implied but it's definitely not *confirmed*, if it was, I don't think people would be asking whether or not rush happened canonically before '06. Also, her absorbing energy comparable to the wolf emeralds, again, sure? That's *an* explanation. We don't know how the sol emeralds work, hell, we don't even fully understand the chaos emeralds. So again, I say all this to say that you could be right, but it's not as obvious as you make it seem, because all of this stuff is implied at the most, and not confirmed. Not only that, but the way blaze doesn't immediately nope silver when he asks her if it would be right to kill sonic, and the fact that I legitimately don't think either of the two have exchanged words once in the entire game is just weird. Obviously, that would mean she doesn't know who sonic is right? No, as I said before, it's all complicated, and at the end of the day, sonic lore is kind of just a mess and it has been for years. They're working on making lore consistent from now on, but for the last like decade and a half+? I honestly just say feel free to fill in the inconsistencies and weirdness with headcanon. Sonic rush and sonic '06 were being developed at the same time, the latter title was mad rushed (get it?) and came out held together with glue and sticks, even though it came out a year after rush. Reboot + time travel + dimension travel + etc, weirdness happens, I choose not to worry about it too much
What also made the lore confusing was sonic origins. Canonically, sonic cd is right after sonic 1. But the ending cutscene of sonic 1, we see the emeralds go to west side island. So what game is after sonic 1?
I'd actually say the origins cutscenes completely line up. However, I would also say that sonic 1 and sonic CD don't have any definitive place in the timeline other than that they definitely happened before generations or adventure. According to manuals and old lore, sonic 1 was not the first time sonic and eggman crossed paths, so it's kinda just assumed that sonic 1 happened first since there's no evidence to the contrary. At least, until origins
@@SonicHubYT Not only has there ever been any evidence... like at all, but a lot of where the characters are at, especially Shadow, goes well with the games that came before.
@@chibu3212 Assuming both were being developed at the same time, one being developed by a completely different team, Rush was likely meant to be advertising for Blaze's character for 06. So when they see Blaze return later the players go, "Ooh!" 06's story was most likely finished before Rush had Blaze origins decided. And knowing the insane time-crunch they were under, they likely made 0 differences or re-writes in the story just to make the deadline. Both were likely meant to be the first time seeing Blaze but the reason why is most likely due to time-crunch and lack of any rewrite, communication, or pre-planning for Rush. It's the most SEGA thing they could do.
So I think I have a theory, first blaze appears in sonic rush, then we her in sonic 06 in the future, I'd say the reason why blaze is in the future is because blaze was in her sol dimension, she found out about what's happening in silver's future so she thought that what if the future has effected her dimension, so she went to the future and save it so she could save her dimension as well, she probably travelled here using the sol emeralds, in sonic 06 I think blaze always had the sol emeralds but she doesn't use them like how sonic uses the chaos emeralds, she only uses them when she must use them but when it's not needed she doesn't because she is their guardian after all, then to seal iblis she either used the chaos emeralds to seal him then used the sol emeralds to teleport somewhere with no creature that is in danger then released it before she couod die, then she uses the sol emeralds again to teleport back into her dimension or she didn't even transform into burning blaze to go somewhere else but she used the she uses the chaos emeralds to use chaos control and teleport back, I doubt that she ever used her burning blaze form tho, she just looked like she was using them probably because she is using the emeralds but it doesn't have to be her transforming, I think it makes sense that way.
I’m sorry but they said blaze has amnesia and also tbh if a fire god destroyed a dimension that I had a friend in I would forget about other things including people just to protect them
Blaze doesn't know it's sonic she does know it's a blue hedgehog but she think it different and mit sonic when she hear blue hedgehog she remembers sonic but when doesn't think he is iblis trigger and blue hedgehog just another hedgehog not sonic
Yeah, Sonic 06 kind of ruins things consindering the Rush series. And we can't exactly pretend 06 never happened cuz of Generations lol. So yeah, it's a bit distracting. They have it set as "Blaze comes from a different timeline instead of another dimension". It's the same energy as Classic Sonic when it comes to Forces. At the same time, at this point, I'm not exactly worried about the lore. The lore can be whatever it wants. I just need the games to hold up
Eggman Nega has the same thing going for him. He’s from “another dimension” in the Rush series, but in the Rivals series, he’s from “the future” and knows Silver already. We need a couple games to tie all this together, it’d be neat.
My head cannon: Blaze and Sonic had some beef after sonic rush, so shes ok with killing sonic in 06. After 06 they made up and now their friends agian.
I think their hands are kind of tied on this with Blaze knowing how the Chaos Emeralds work in 06. It’s not just that she knows they exist, but that she knows they can transform thoughts into power. Learning that the Chaos Emeralds, and the Sol Emeralds by proxy, work like this is a major part of her character arc in Rush. That is way harder to handwave than any of her dialogue related to Sonic.
Do you think these new revelations make Sonic Rush/Sonic 06 place in the timeline more confusing?
Yes, very much
Yea
Hi
I’m happy I’m first to watch:)
Yes
Shiro Maekawa himself clarified this. Sonic rush takes place directly after Sonic 06 when everrything has reset
Thank you !
Here at, 5:15 it seems like she’s saying she needs to find Silver fast due to her fearing that it may not be a coincidence after all (which is why when she said, “can it be true?” I assumed she was making the connection)
At 6:33 and 6:45 I mean, Sonic says, “you” and “your” meaning he could be focusing on Silver here; because he knows Blaze isn’t from the future (doesn’t explain why she doesn’t talk to him tho; maybe she saw how distraught sonic was and didn’t know what to say due to her lack of social skills? Idk ).
7:43 Yeah
THANK YOU!!!

Blaze is HELLA underrated. She needs to be reintroduced into mainline Sonic. Blaze Frontiers when?
I think it’s possible we’ll see her soon since she has a bio for that sonic friends thing 😗 (im coping so hard)
I'd say she's underutilized. Not Underrated

@@CharlieRobinson-ee3vf Sonic and Elise are able to recall the events of '06 since they sealed Solaris away together.
Same reason Silver don't remember he meet Sonic and Shadow in Rivals and he don't know who was Blaze in Colors DS. ALL characters forget 06's events, even Elise and Sonic, and it was like that until Generation with the time eater who play with the timeline.
@@CSTH1 Nothing proove Elise and Sonic remember 06 (the ending was just like Silver's déjà-vu feeling in Colors DS)
I like this.
I like this. Perhaps memory loss and dimension swapping is a consequence of transforming into burning blaze.
That might work
Don't work at all
I wouldn't mind if they were just 2 different versions of Blaze. A story with a character from another dimension can easily get away with incorporating a counterpart from the cast's home dimension and have easily explainable similarities and differences
I swear that was my original theory lol
I think it’s better if they just don’t talk about blaze in sonic 06 because there is no way it can make sense, or at least there is no good reason.
the problem is mainly just there is barely much of any context of why she is in the future in 06 she's just there, so like any possible explanation is just "it happened offscreen"
Interesting video! Blaze is underrated honestly 💜She really needs to appear more since she has a lot more potential
I dont get why people always hating on Sonic 2006. It has a few bugs yes but I think it is a much better game than people think it is.
This is the type of comment that screams "I'm only a teenager and I have no idea what I'm talking about"
@@LeonardoRodrigues-uj1sm the only bad thing is bugs, it was badass
Well the bugs and gameplay are bad and the story is ok but the music slaps
Blaze and Silver are very underrated characters that need a better introduction into the sonic franchise, as well as better plot to make them feel like important pieces of a puzzle rather than an incovience to the cast. (E.G similar to Shadows implementation into the story)
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of Sonic 06?
My head cannon was that Blaze from 06 is the og blaze and when she dies she's reincarnated in the soul dimension with fleeting memories of her previous incarnation. So I don't like this new cannon clarification.
My headcanon was 06 happens, timeline reverses at the end and then sonic rush happens
We need a remake of 06 that fixes the story details. Like project 06 but remaking the cutscenes and plot
i think 06 takes place some time after rush, or the sol dimension passes time differently, cause blaze seems to pause for a second after hearing “blue hedgehog.” maybe she got deja vu or something or maybe in canon she didn’t say those things and it got retconned or whatever
Blaze come from Sol dimension in 06 and was send in Silver future for an unexplaindd reason (guess it's because the Sol emeralds)
Because the time reset her time travel don't happen and she just continue her princess/guardian life without her 06's memories. Then rush happen and in generation she remember 06's events because of the time eater who play with the timeline.
As nobody officially explained about this (even from the characters themselves), nothing is sure but our both ideas may be true.
Blaze is really good in my opinion because rush and 06 are so underrated
Rush isn't really Underrated
Sonic 06 Definitely isn't underrated
@@ALegendaryBlueHedgeit's underrated in his opinion.
Yeah sorry about that I forgot to mention that was in my opinion
Blaze does say”seal us into another dimension” so it is entirely possible
Blaze really IS the best sonic character. I think over all, yes. With this video, Blaze's back story is complecating!
in my headcannon 06 Blaze is an alternate Blaze from an future sol dimension which lost her memories because she got pulled into the main dimension by Eggman Nega which stole the sol emeralds and drained them, before Iblis completly abosrbed the sol emeralds, to travel to the past of the Sol Dimension..
That’s dumb.
Can we just take the advice and forgot anything happens in 06
that's thing, colours ds comes in and goes "oh yes remember silver and blaze were close friends 06, here is a scene of them somehow feeling like their friendship was meant to be for an unexplained reason" probably a way to restablish their relationship but does reference 06 in a minor way that explains said reason. colours ds by TSR standards is canon and you see why people can't forget
@@nightwish1453 I need Fortnite event in sonic world where something Hits the planet and everything reset
Imo, the best solution would be to remake 06 and make the story fit with the rest of the sonic timeline, seeing how the game was originally meant to be a reboot
I thought of it as 06 Blaze was Rush Blaze from the future but must have hit her head or something
From this background you get proper explanation why she is so unfazed towards Sonic's existence or why she's so apathetic to his death, and why she finds the present so odd yet interesting. And also would justify her sacrificing herself knowing full well that once she died in her dimension the Sol Emeralds no longer would have a guardian, and her kingdom would be left without a ruler;
If you ask me it makes sense that Rush happens after because, even though she lacks memories from '06's events happening, you could blame it on Blaze that '06's Crisis City was present in Generations as it is her own existence as a paradox that sent her back to a timeline that should've been erased, because that's her actual origins as a being, the place she was originally from; And ultimately this might have awaken those memories on her, which would fix both these plot-holes in Generations and connecting these games in a coherent manner.
I have a question. Since in Generations Crisis City was a level does it mean that Sonic retrieved or remembered everything from Sonic 06?
So, does this mean Iblis from Silver’s time is still sealed within Blaze? I mean, you’d think her being in another dimension would spare her from the wiping of the game from the timeline. She didn’t show up in the Last Story, so it’s safe to say her dimension was unaffected of she warped there. That means Iblis is still out there and, if Blaze cries, she will unknowingly release it
7:35 you mixed up sonic 06 with sonic rush adventure 😂
Sonic 06 is a small pocket universe that doesn't become canon until the events were undone.
Still takes place after rush which makes it weird when you look at how blaze acts in it. Growing up, I always thought it was a diff version of blaze
1:27 why isn't anyone talking about this bro
I got a theory once Blaze was supposed to go home she last her memory and landed in the future I think she regains her memory by the end of silver’s story
6:00 i dont know if sonic mad on eggman or elise.
She don't die since she ask Silver to send her in another dimension.
Here is my theory:
Sonic Rush comes first where Blaze and Bonic meet. In Sonic 06 Blaze knows Sonic but doesn't want to tell Silver. After she goes Burning Blaze she forgets MOST of the events of 06 just like we should. And that's how she remembers crisis city in Sonic Generations.
Don't work at all
Why?
Reboot + time travel + dimension travel + etc, weirdness happens, I choose not to worry about it too much
Tbh I like sonic rush thank every other game
What also made the lore confusing was sonic origins. Canonically, sonic cd is right after sonic 1. But the ending cutscene of sonic 1, we see the emeralds go to west side island. So what game is after sonic 1?
The Chaos Emeralds weren't in CD, I guess Sonic just decided to take a break or Never Lake was on the way to West Side.
Well if it was we would have seen it
I'd actually say the origins cutscenes completely line up.
Way past cool!! 1:15
Sonic 06 was not meant to be a reboot btw. That my friend is simply a myth from the comment section.
Seems like it was in my opinion
@@SonicHubYT Not only has there ever been any evidence... like at all, but a lot of where the characters are at, especially Shadow, goes well with the games that came before.
Then why did they write Blaze as a completely new character and retcon her appearance in Rush?
@@chibu3212 Assuming both were being developed at the same time, one being developed by a completely different team, Rush was likely meant to be advertising for Blaze's character for 06. So when they see Blaze return later the players go, "Ooh!"
06's story was most likely finished before Rush had Blaze origins decided.
It did make it more confusing tho awsome video!

Blaze doesn't know it's sonic she does know it's a blue hedgehog but she think it different and mit sonic when she hear blue hedgehog she remembers sonic but when doesn't think he is iblis trigger and blue hedgehog just another hedgehog not sonic
Did you enjoy the new update in frontiers
Yeah Blaze definitively ruined 06

I think their hands are kind of tied on this with Blaze knowing how the Chaos Emeralds work in 06. It’s not just that she knows they exist, but that she knows they can transform thoughts into power. Learning that the Chaos Emeralds, and the Sol Emeralds by proxy, work like this is a major part of her character arc in Rush. That is way harder to handwave than any of her dialogue related to Sonic.
The chaos emerald thing is definitely a wrench thrown in for sure, so I had to throw it in there haha
