I have always liked the old 80s synth tracks but have only just stumbled across new retro wave, synthwave, darksynth, chillwave and even vaporwave and I am completely in love thankyou so much
I started listening to synth while studying because i found my normal music too distracting. well, here i am again in the same boat. distracted daydreaming images of neon skylines and analog instruments.
From what i have heard so far in this list Toxxify sounds like something more of my alley! Also heard another of their song in another playlist and seemed to like it as much! Seems like i have to check this artist...might find more of amazing stuff! Just like i found out about Neydah!
+NewRetroWave - I'm not an elitist, just.. darkwave isn't the same as darksynth. Listen to Clan of Xymox, Diary of Dreams, and this is actually darkwave. New wave + gothic rock, if we like simplified definitions. Darkwave existed for nearly 30 years, while synthwave and all its different subgenres became a serious thing in 10s.
Probably my favorite synth mix, and I've listened to a lot of synthwave/darksynth. The transitions are really well crafted from start to finish and the selection of songs is pristine. S-tier mix. Shame Vol. 2 is not as good as this one.
