Sorry to be late, but this is the most real, educational video I have seen on RUclips about setting up a dirted tanks.
The fact that you are helping a neighbor set up a tank from start to finish is the stuff you don't see on RUclips much. And believe me I have seen a ton of video about this subject on RUclips.

Plants acclimate and change their physical shape all over. To adjust to their new pond or Aquarium. Notice they looked different months later ☝️

love it. i have some pogostamon stellato octopus or whatever its called....completely has filled up my dirted co2 tank. i think it caused a lot of my dwarf sag to die back. ive been wanting to do a major overhaul with a lot more hardscape and plants trim it back and get a nice layout in my 40 gallon breeder. just gotta build up the strength and make it an all day affair ahha.

Hey Dustin, why not setup a small swimming pool, raise and sell Tilapia and put the tank in line with your plants to use the fishes waste for fertilizer.

A gang valve would have been a good splitter instead of a T. The bubble stone just breaks up the CO2 gasses into smaller bubbles.

Just like your fish, - your bacteria also must have oxygen.
I love my plants more than my fish.
More than any number of all other nutrients, - plants want a carbon source.
