- Staying home is still pretty busy as I'm trying out new recipes for the cooking channel and today I'm trying the KFC Fried Chicken cooked in a rice cooker. This hack originated in Japan and gonna see if it's tasty or not.

Dear Mikey: the hack for duvet covers is to turn it inside out, then reach up *inside* it to grab the farthest corners. use those corners to grab the corners of the duvet, and shake the cover the right way out *over* the duvet, whilst still holding those corners. Once it's mostly in, drop that end of the duvet and sort out the end with the buttons/zip whatever, give it a good shake and it should be done!

My tip for quilt covers is to turn the cover inside out and lay it on your bed, lay the quilt over the cover and on the open side, reach in and grab the corners of the quilt and sheet. Once you have the corners, pull them back out towards you and then shake!
Give it a try next time you do your bedding!

Have you tried quilts on your bed instead of duvets? I had duvets on my bed for the longest time and they are heavy and frustrating to put together so I switched to quilts. Quilts are so much easier to put on your bed and is perfect for spring/summer when it's not too cold. For fall/winter, you can layer by adding a thin fleece or wool blanket underneath the quilt for more warmth. Try it!
In my part of the US, everyone is baking instead of eating out and that's why all the flour is sold out everywhere. No yeast anywhere either.

For me i had to resort to doing sour dough breads and making my own starters for the bread

To put my cover on, I flip the actual cover itself inside out and (mine comes with ties on each corner) then I tie the corners and then flip it back while shoving the comforter into the cover and it works!
Same, super easy. I won’t buy a duvet without either ties or the buttons.
I used to hang mine on the clothesline inside out and then clip the duvet to it and then reverse it.

The KFC hack is similar to a meal we have in Singapore’s KFC. We call it the Original Recipe Rice Bowl. But it comes with small bits of chicken (popcorn chicken/chicken karage) instead of huge pieces of chicken. I hope when the pandemic is over, everyone can come try it. Maybe they taste the same.

Ah~ That Menu , we got the similar one here in Indonesia, but the rice portion is smaller and the rice is diffrent than OR Rice Bowl but it got drizzled with kinda sauce (it's kinda like bologna sauce or something, idk) yeah, Kinda same and we got like Rice Box now with 3 different flavor.
But as long as i remember, this trend was started in Indonesia like way-way long ago, like back in the 2010 (or even longer than 2010) when KFC starting to boom again and got viraled on 2018 when some people started creating videos about it (kinda like college people or something), and that's really are how some of these people eat it (including me in the past), because i remember my childhood when were getting in to KFC to get some chicken and ended up over buying chicken (because bucket was kinda cheaper deal for some reason), though we have only like 3 member on my family (Yeah, im the only son.... Dang it my parent don't want another kid....), and were accidentaly buying Chicken Bucket that content so many chicken in it ( i was like 7 and i always full faster whenever i eat rice) , and ended up can't eat them all that night, my mother suddenly take on the boiler from the rice cooker and first in the morning, i eat rice with KFC Chicken Flavor on it XD it was like 2008 or 2009, and actually, that's the first time i really got interested on cooking XD
i don't know how it got viral that fast and got in to the world (thx internet), and i don't know, am i have to be happy, or embarrassing about it XD
It used to be called rice bucket & bigger but they changed it to what you say rice bowl which is pathetic

We have this in India as well. But I don't think the chicken popcorn is cooked with the rice, it's just put in at the end.

That chicken stock and rice thing... reminds me of a meal that my parents used to make from the middle east called "makloubi". Makloubi literally means "upside down" since you turn the pot upside down to get everything out on a big plate. We used to make it with chicken, chicken stock and various spices, but also sometimes with fried eggplants instead of chicken.
Air fryers are great for reheating any fried foods.

John Caesar depends what nation you live in bro and the temperature, I don’t use one from March to October, I use a blanket. The UK gets pretty damn cold November to February.

This reminded me of your tomato rice cooker vid where you started with the basic and then just piled everything you could think of in it. It gave me some inspiration to do things differently. One of the things that I make not often enough is a slow cooker pulled pork turned into a chili. It came out awesomely thanks to you.

I love sitting next to my window watching the rain roll in. It’s even better when you’re surrounded by fields and you can watch the storm clouds moving closer and closer. Probably one of the only good things about living in the flattest area of the uk!

I usually scrunch the outside part of the duvet up, put a corner of the inside part in the two remaining corners. Then cause I’m short I stand on my bed, grab the corners and then just shake it down. Not sure if that made sense but maybe it helped 😂 Love your videos and glad you’re staying safe 😊

During this pandemic I’ve mostly been working (I deliver pizza for a chain that uses a game piece as their logo) and this past week since Sunday I’ve been home bc I’m legit sick with an intestinal issue I actually saw a doc for for the first time. Turn the duvet cover inside out, grab each inside corner of the cover (the 2 corners furthest away from the open section) by pulling the cover over your arms, so your arms are inside, match it to each shorter side corners on the quilt. Keep hold of your corners & shake the duvet cover down over the quilt so the quilt ends up inside & the duvet cover ends up right side out (best done stood on your mattress). Put the quilt on your bed & pull the rest of the duvet cover down to the other end of your quilt (the open end), find the corners (at the open end) and push the other quilt corners into them, shake it out a bit to straighten the quilt out & fasten. Failing that search 'easy way to put on a duvet cover on' on RUclips lol. There is a rolling method that's supposed to be easy, but I haven't tried it.

His KFC moment is me during my quarantine. I loaded up on noodles, rice, kimchi, sushi paper, soups, pasta, Chinese sausage, etc yet I still have cravings for food. I at least had pho, Cajun shrimp, pizza, Cambodian, chinese, and korean food delivered to me or takeout during my quarantine. As a foodie it’s sad to not be able to eat at a restaurant, so I’m glad there’s still take out and delivery. And all restaurants are resorting to that in California. It’s especially needed since parking is limited and with everyone at home you don’t want to leave and come back to not have a parking space.😩
I have been absent for a while and now watching you again I feel like I just came home again 😍😍

The flour situation. I am seeing more and more people making their own bread on IG and FB. The mashed potato and gravy and buttered bread. OMG! Ate it as a kid at home and still eat it. My three boys ate it growing up.

The flour is being hoarded in case people want to bake their own bread. Yeast is also being hoarded.
Yep, I've been wanting to make some bread but I haven't been able to find yeast anywhere in my area of Australia.
I finally purchased yeast from Amazon. I had to buy a pound of it, which was more than I needed or wanted to spend, but since it can be kept in the freezer indefinitely, I won't have to buy yeast again for a long time! I also used to buy flour in bulk and freeze it when I was married and did a lot of baking.
