Hannes heard so much amazing techno he just doesn’t give a shit anymore. He sits there in front off all his expensive gear talking about stuff like it’s apples and banana’s. Here I am getting the best mixing tips of my life from this dude. 10/10.
Producers are using lots of tracks in their productions, because when they uplaod a 10 seconds of wip on their FB page, the more audio, midi and and return tracks you can see on the their screen the more you think they're making a better track.
Be sure to check your delays in Mono!
Amazing video. Such a great demonstration.
hannes is amazing
Wenige Spuren. Ich mag das. Tolles Tutorial.
For the buch saying this is obvious stuff for "experienced" producers, I can swear that minimalism is one of the hardest ways to master. We start making genuine and simple stuff when first approaching producing, then while we slowly learn to use the tools we all tend to stack stuff just because "it's supposed to" be there. If I listen to my old productions I can feel the pain of the overwork to make them sound just barely acceptable. Making them was a perpetual loop of adding and then removing because it was just too much. I even named one of my tracks "Unbuch" lol. If you're interested soundcloud.com/rifter
All I've made from there was to build a dub-style live-set kind of approach to both producing and playing live. I want to keep things as simple as they can be. So yes this video shows an application of one of the most relevant concepts for me right now. Subscribed.
Wow thats awesome , really love those relativly small und simple tutorials , thank you !
You really see that he knows exactly what hes talking about , no "Gefährliches Halbwissen".
Loving this new direction you guys are taking. More please! :)
If you have Soundtoy's, Little Microshift in your tool box: throw it on a track in it's default state to add instant dimension/width to thin/weak sounds.
Super helpful. Thank you Hannes! Excellent advice on a minimalist approach to full sounding tracks.
EB and Hannes Bieger! Can't wait to watch this :-)
super idee leute! freue mich auf weitere Tips & Tricks!!
+danhpp nächster Teil: Drum Tuning.
Thank you!! I work with hardware drum/sampler machines and so there are limitations. Using delay like this really helps push the limited amount of sounds to a new level 👍
Richtig gut!
Great video, Hannes. Keep them coming !
Amazing tutorial! Thank you 🙏
an important topic extremely well explained - thank you! looking really forward to the next ones
Meine Inspirationsquelle.Das Lied schläft in der Maschine.TOP!

+WABE mid/end november
Wo kann man den fertigen track kaufen ? :D
toll!
OK so what does he do with the longer feedback notes of the delays? Does he resample the delays so he can cut them or control them better? Or just leave it like that?
Yooo you kinda answered your own question! That would be a great idea to cut them to control better, be creative:)
could use a gate on the channel too
mega :)

Lovely!
Is it possible to know the name of that beautiful white desk / mixer?
Thank you~
Engone Endong its a Speck Lilo mixer
Great job....but do U set two delay plugs on the one channel with the kick to generate that percusion sound and bass line at the same time...? thx 4 sharin ..:)
he's using sends, not insert effects
Flanger = delay? Wat?
Very very short delay, yes. Under 30ms if I remember correctly the flanging effect occurs.
Yes
Why does he say "sound design," "sample," and "drum pattern" in English? Don't they have words for those words?
It’s common music speech.
Klangformung, Beispiel / Probe und Rhythmus Muster doesn‘t sound really sexy and would leave some Questionmarks.
A lot of the terminology for this stuff originated in english speaking countries, so saying the english words sometimes alludes more to the context in which the word is being used. In spanish for example, we say "samplear" which basically means "to sample". We also talk about "samples".
@@gasolineandwine Ah that actually makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
@@tristunalekzander5608 Trust me in German there are at least 3 words for everything you can describe the most detailed stuff in German.
blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla ...use delay.
hands down!!!!!!
If you had a good delay, you could have said "bla" once with better effect. 🙄
konzentriert nicht traurig :-)
04:57 - The stereo delay cancels out the right part of the kick attack almost completely.
I think he's actually just cut the kick out temporarily at this point to show only the effect
No he does that around 05:15
can't beleive folks need help like this. I thought this was going to be some revolutionary sound. Add delay and take the low end and high end off it lol. Ok!
Some People start at zero. May you are a natural born pro..
Believe*
no wonder everyone is sounding the same today lol. with all the "experts" giving tutorials on YT, 1 finger chord generators and loop packs being the basic blocks of production you get the same production techniques and the same type of instrumentals everywhere. after awhile people learn to like crap, expect less. rather sad.
guess I'll keep my head up my ass lol
Billy Jackson because of you, a woman was 9 months pregnant ..
@@billclay2701 i taste a lot of salt
Klingt wie bei chronischen Bauchscmerzen ! Viel zu cool für die Amateur Welt. ?
