Left out rtv sealant. Removing battery as well as hoses attached to housing will make job much easier. Also, that box connector on wire harness is removed using a flat blade screwdriver beneath box. Pry down on latch underside and pull box out.
Hey, thanks for putting this video up! It was very helpful since my CDROM service manual wasn't working. We got stuck on removing the wiring harness and I made a short video for that since I saw a lot of other people got stuck on that as well. Anyway I can link that video to yours? Thanks again for this write up!

When I did this I also put some RTV silicone to form a gasket around part of that thermostat housing
Does absolutely no harm done but I can assure you that it is not necessary.

@@Mamiigly you don't deserve a response...let alone fix a car...with those type of questions
@@MamiiglyTheyre just supposed to pull out, I mean they have clips but mine was shit. Was being too gentle with it
I took the thermostat housing without disconnecting radiator hoses but took out heater hose (shown at 3:23)
what is that hose @2:05 ?
Fresh air hose for PCV system
Thanks mate
do you know the torque measurements to tighten?
I do not. I’m sure their is a rite up somewhere on google for it. I just tighten them up ever so much.
Until it is snug. Until the bolt doesn't turn anymore. Maybe 1/8-1/4 turn after it stops. Aluminum cracks if it's over tightened.
It’s called a WASHER!!!!
