She's without a doubt my favorite new character from this game. I love that she manages to outsmart and defeat all three Animal Realm gangs and saves Gensokyo from being destroyed in war. And I love that she was originally planning on taking over Gensokyo in order to protect it better from them, but changes her mind because she just loves Reimu that much and knows Reimu can protect Gensokyo on her own. It's awesome she likes Reimu because she reminds her of herself when she was Reimu's age.
@@cattokomo sorta. As I said she did plan on conquering Gensokyo for herself, but as mentioned, she did it with startlingly good intentions. Either way it's refreshing to see such an anti villain after the Animal Realm gave us a trend of pure evil tyrants.

He's used choirs in previous songs, notably Chimata's theme, as well as Saki's theme in this game, to name a couple. In this song, he's using an erhu, which is also used in Biten's theme, it's a Chinese instrument known for being able to imitate the sound of a woman singing.
@@battykat7086That's not quite right (technically not wrong either). The vocals in this track are from Sonuscore Mongolian Voices - Ancient Phrases. While an erhu is being used in the background, it's not the part people are referring to as the vocals.

An epic theme, fitting for an oni who’s once a monk who willingly gone to hell, and now created a gigantic long complicated plan to take down and take over the cruel animal realm (and also protect but also take over Geosokyo). She would have gained a complete perfect victory if it wasn’t for Suika and Reimu. But despite that she already defeated and take over the animal realm’s 3 main gangs.
I’m surprised so many people keep thinking Kingdam is a spelling error… The game’s final stage is set in Hell and Zanmu is kinda of like the people’s selected unofficial King. Kingdam, or rather Kingdamn is intentional. It’s just a play on Kingdom referring to Hell as the Kingdom of the Damned.
Word pun in this fasion is not what Japanese usually do, especially if that Japanese's pen name is ZUN. ZUN is notoriously famous for misspelling english names all the time. He even spelled Cirno name wrong before even though it's the name that he come up himself. And also if i were to play word pun like that it would be Kingdamn and not Kingdam. And also like the Thai comment mentioned it's more so because of the katakana form of the word Kingdom that use "da" instead of "do" for "dom" so.
@@HaruTH While it might not be something most Japanese do, it doesn't mean it's not a possibility. ZUN titled one of his games 東方紺珠伝 ~ Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom and Stage 4 in this game is titled ''寂びの来ない街 - Lunatic Kingdom''. I bring this up because in Ringo's dialogue the last thing she says is 'ルナティックキングダム'. As the Thai pointed out before, sure, maybe it seems like a Kingdam is a mistranslation due to the katakana, but the existence of LoLK at the very least proves ZUN's very much aware of the english translation of キングダム isn't Kingdam, but instead Kingdom.
@@DioBrandoZaWarudoMudaMudaMuda that's what I believe too. I wrote that in the description. But I also now believe the debunk of katakana mistranslation as well. Well we'll see which is the correct case if ZUN will ever patch this messy unbalance game.
You guys thought ZUN is making a spelling mistake, but YOU ARE WRONG! While learning erhu technique in China ZUN has touched the tradition of using homonyms in ancient Chinese literatures. "Dam" in Chinese pronounced the same as "Dad" or "Father", In Ancient China, Zhuge Liang was referred as "Father" by the second and last emperor of the state of Shu Han - Liu Shan. ZUN use this as an analogy, implies the status of Zanmu in the new hell - a master brain and arbitrator. What an elaborate word play combining King and Dam together to convey... I can't keep on going guys I m laughing to death.

The plots of each game don't rely on eachother too much. Occasionally the plotline of one game directly leads into another (as with TH12-13 and 14.5-15) but even in those cases you don't need to have played one game to enjoy the other.
There's tons of incredible Touhou remixes of many songs throughout the series, and all of those remixes provide an excellent twist on the original song that makes one song be able to stand out in so many different ways. But somehow, this song is different. This song is already so perfect, I don't think its possible for a remix to improve upon this song. There's lots of people who've remixed a song incredibly well less than a week before it releases, but so far, none of the remixes I've heard for the Kingdam of Nothingness matches this raw emotion, power, and overall feeling or story this song tells.
I bet correctly that ZUN didn't mean to type "Kingdam" and now in patch 1.10c it is fixed correctly to "Kingdom". I won.
