Paul, with all the space dedicated for the metal cases, trim pots, cables etc, have you ever thought about a single case, a big one, and inside you put only your fav circuits, using only mini trim pots, it would save lots of space and weight, what do you think?
Hi Michael. I like the idea of saving space :) and I always wanted to build a few 'multi' pedals but i have a couple of problems with it. The enclosures can end up quite big, not saving much room. But the biggest problem is the order of the effects cant be swapped around (easily). Im aware of the flippy switch wiring you can use but i just dont see the value considering the extra layer of complexity. Just my opinion on it (and why i always end up building single effects). Cheers
How long does it take to ship to the states? I'm interested in a few of your pedal PCB's. Also do all of your DIY pedsls come with complete componets? It's been nice watching your channel.
I forget the answer to this. But I don't think it worked out for Americans, either doesn't ship, or it becomes too expensive. If I'm wrong about this, please someone correct me, and fast!
I think the Honey Bee is my favorite style pedal. I have a diy kit I've yet to build until I get my skill level up. Tried to get it off your site but it was removed, discontinued or something.
@@DiyguitarpedalsAu Hey, thanks but I already have a parts kit from bits something and bought the Aion board from another site since the bits place only gives a blank board. Do you sell full parts kits?
@@njcranes Hey mate, not problem. Yes, check the pcbs & kits section on the webstore has some kits: www.diyguitarpedals.com.au/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 Cheers
Klons are almost never used that way. A klon is in its element when the volume is high and the gain low to 0, going into a broken up amp. That’s the tone of legends. My klon is always on. Just a little sparkle and fat.
Oh, that BADCAT amp, how does it sound? What was the deal with those? They were left in a shipping container or something after a brand/company went belly up?
I have been searching high and low for someone that could possibly make me a couple of things? I'm looking for if you think Is possible to build a kind of tone or fx toggle switch installed in a guitar that will create a delay effect and one that will deliver a chorus effect all built into and hidden in a guitar cavity to eliminate the pedals and have access to those effects right on my guitar ? Your advice would be VERY much appreciated even if you think it's not possible. Thank you
It wouldn't be impossible but you will be limited in size. Firstly, you need room for a battery. Then you will need to drill holes for pots and switches you will be adding. PT2399 circuits for delay can be small, so that might work. Chorus pedals usually have larger BOMs, so that would be tricky. If you go the SMD route, then no problem. Check out a Mooer pedal and see how they cram a lot into a small space.
Cheap pickups. A tech probably stole his pick ups and replaced them with Chinese ones when he took the guitar in, or he brought it used, and it'd been stripped for parts and replaced with Chinese crap. Happens ALL THE TIME!
The dead astronauts reverb sounds amazing.

A tip: you can watch movies on kaldroStream. Been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.
@Andrew Ernest yup, I've been watching on kaldrostream for years myself =)
@Andrew Ernest yea, I've been watching on KaldroStream for since november myself =)
Paul, so good to see you in another video! Thanks for sharing your favs from your collection.
Thanks mate :D
The most beautiful rug I've ever seen. I envy you. Amazing work.
Really ties the room together!
I'll echo that Dead Astronaut sounding damb good.
I'm hurting for that dead astronaut, I'm definitely adding that to my project list
I'm not gonna lie, I was stoked when you reached for the pedal with the Pumpkins logo on it. I've got an Op-Amp Big Muff, and I love it.
Tape echoes, delays and reverbs abd gates are my aim, but klons I guess first and a tubescreamer - like my olf P9.

Really wanted to hear the phaser

Which one? Let me know i can reactivate it so you can get the build doc. Cheers

Very good video. Could you talk about the finished? The paint and draws, please.

love pedal eternity, is there a DIY schematic for that? (Night Sky Pedal)
Thanks Adz, check out my webstore, there is a schematic on the product page ("Night Drive")

Where can we find a Prismatic Reverb?
Was just checking the comments for that reason. I can't seem to find the video.

I looked at the lm358, and it has about the same slew rate as the lm308, you think it will work for the rat?
If you have a favourite or two there's no point in keeping the other ones you will probably not use them much.
Would you put your Power supply PCB on your site??
Thanks Sam, Erik and i are redesigning the power supply project so you will (eventually) see it under the DBE range. Cheers mate
Fuzzdog?
Second!
Im surprised at how your ears dig the stale toast sound. Even your pickups are low resistance. Mission thin tone.
the guitar audio has problems, it sounds very compressed and no head room at all. all your pedals sound like shit with the audio
