I'm freakin' loving these videos lately. You're talking about consistency with running, but you are absolutely crushing it with frequent and consistently high-quality content. Way to go, man. There are so many things that I'd do differently if I could start over with my running: 1. I'd find structure in my running plan sooner. I don't need a calendar that sets out what I'm doing weeks in advance, but I am now able to have a rough guide in my head for what I want to be able to do in the coming few days or week that will allow me to improve. It might mean putting a little more or less intensity into a certain day, or structuring a workout in a way that will make sure that I can recover in time for a longer run. That structure lets me plan my own progress (e.g. I know that if I can do X-workout this week, then I should be able to run at Y-pace for Z-kilometres during my long run next week). 2. I'd learn to manage my diet earlier. When I started running, I had no idea what I was doing with macros or calories; sometimes I'd run fasted, other times I'd fuel with whiskey and a street kebab. The difference that a good diet makes in every area of life is astonishing. 3. I'd pick better shoes and socks. God, the blisters I had to suffer through. Never a problem anymore. 4. I'd actually do strength and conditioning. As soon as I started, I began to feel so much more confident in my ability to avoid injury, and a good S&C routine is worth at least an extra day of running as far as speed and muscular endurance goes (I do 2 days per week of legs in the gym (always on the same days as a harder workout), plus 2 days of core work in the gym).
As part of my acceptance of current body capabilities I figured showing up on this channel as much as I can is something I can work towards, just like running 🏃 These are great tips - probably better tips than I had 😂 thanks Luke! I’ve definitely suffered though some horrible blisters - PTSD
I would begin running with a group earlier and run with good runners. The amount of long runs I’ve looked down and gone “Oh shit we are 14km in” because I have been chatting with someone compared to running solo is crazy! Running with good runners and seeing them run easy also helped me realise I didn’t need to burn myself every run. I’m not saying being anal about your heart rate, but easy should feel easy!
I´m relatively new to running but bringing my long runs into the hills, woods and on the trails made a huge impact. I almost see it like I used to see hiking before. Enjoying the nature and breath some good air. And alongside that build up my endurance.
Great video Connor as always. I could learn how to do more quality like u do 😅 i am wondering, u say to have “fun” whilst running..,but most people find running not so fun. How do u find running fun? 🤔 personally, i find running fun only when i am going somewhere unkown, in an event or in the bush, otherwise if i am running in a straight line it can seem very boring.
I just carry my camera everywhere with me these days. I find running the most fun when it feels good. When you break though the initial stages and get into that period where it just feels nice - very fun.
how does bro only have 3.5k subscribers? This is top tier running content
Haven’t been around for long my guy! But thankyou
💯

I'm starting and I enjoyed this tips!
My HR is all over the place. Running at a pace of 6-7 makes my heart go to 160 bpm
Yep I was the same - get on the bike and build that base and it should be more controlled over time 👍

Love it mate - something I do need to actually do too. Not many runners around my area (that I know of)
I am a new runner with a 1080v12 and this is the content I am looking for. Cheers!
V12s best show of all time

Absolutely! There’s nothing better than being out in the elements with leaves under foot in some cool morning air

I would definitely try and stay way more CONSISTENT.
Absolutely! That’s my 2025 goal
Those days when i shouldnt have run but the sun was shining and it was too good a day to not run
lol when the conditions are too good for a rest day 😂
