Henry makes such a good lever action. There was a new shooter we brought to the range, and everyone tried to get her into the newest firearm. She ended up loving single actions, and lever guns. I was the only one who had them, and the Henry Golden Boy in 45 Colt was what she ended up liking the most.
I love my Henry rifles, and maybe it's just me, but I can't get used to the buckhorn sights, and zeroing them was a pain. The X models were a little easier for me to use, being notch and post and adjustable with an Allen wrench, but I eventually made the switch for all of them to Skinner or Williams peep/ghost ring sights. They're just easier to acquire a sight picture, and I'm much more accurate with them.
The buckhorn sights on my Henry .44 mag steel sidegate were easy to adjust and work really well on the .44. The buckhorn sights on my Henry .360 buckhammer steel sidegate were very hard to adjust. I ended up 2 1/2 high at 50 yards. I always intended to put a scope on so I wasn't concerned. Now with a Leupold 1.5x4x20 I am 2 inches high at 100 yards with my 180 gr loads, 3/4 of inch group. It shoots 2" low at 200 yards. It will hunt.
Reason I like the Marlin 1895 45-70 is because it is truly a do it all firearm. You can make the loads mild or fierce! As in Cowboy action round or the HSM 430 gr. +P RNFP rounds.
Haha thanks friend i always try to entertain! Hey check out my new channel bc thats where all my gun content will be posted. Check latest video for details thanks!
How easy is it to load that in 45 colt? I used to have a rossi in 357 and it was always a pain to squeeze them in because of the size (especially the last half of the magazine).
I’m not sure, I rarely see this model in stores in any caliber. Definitely a gem as of right now. Henry not going anywhere though so I’m sure they will crank production back up soon.
I am just seeing this video. But I have the henry 45. I got it back before Halloween. I have the longer barrel. I have not shot it yet. It looks too nice to shoot it. But I have ammo for it. 200 and 230 grain.

I agree about them being a pain to adjust. I personally don’t mind the sight picture but they really are so annoying to adjust.
You crack me up big man , nice rifle , I've got the Marlin guide in 47-70 ,
always a pleasure , keep em' coming .
Haha hey thanks friend! Great rifle it’s on my bucket list! 👍🏻

Yes indeed man! One day I will start reloading and take advantage of all the load pressures.
"Just one more score"
Yay!
How heavy of a hand load do you think these henry big boys can handle in 45 colt? Ruger Blackhawk kinda pressures?
I love my henry 45lc, 22lr, 22 mag mare leg. Great job on the shooting.
Very nice! Thanks friend happy shooting!
I love my Henry lever action!!
it's chambered in 17hmr
It's one of my favorites in my collection.
I bet it’s a smooth shooter!

It’s very easy! One of the easiest side gates I’ve ever loaded.
Dang good thing you said that I was actually going to buy a rossi in 357
Has anyone heard when Henry is going to make more of this model?

@@jjs5191 Holy cow!!! That’s a long time
I laughed when you took the shades and hat off I live in California and for me in the desert sun I can't see my target without my shades or hat
Them sunny days are killer!!! Lol
you are too much fun.... !!
Thanks friend! I try to keep it fun!
now I need one
Haha You wont regret it!
You should totally get one. Lever actions are so much fun. They're like driving a stick shift.
I've only got .22lr lever actions, definitely need a centerfire in my arsenal
I love that 1911 holster you have there
Thanks! It’s an old leather holster used in the civil war and it’s actually meant for a revolver but the 1911 fits! Got it at a flea market years ago.

Very nice I’m sure you will love it!
Garand Thumb, is that you? Lmfao.
It’s the driving gloves that did it to you.
Yea broke back mountain 2 lol
What gloves are those?
Great video, as always 💪🏻🇺🇸
Those are very cheap gloves from Amazon. They all show and no quality lmao!
Dude that was fucken funny as hell NY ses hey bro and party on dude ..ps that's a beautiful rifle..PPS 👍# 80
Haha Thanks friend!
Dang bro red hood knows his shit
Haha 😉
Don’t look like much recoil. Will the wife be ok with 45 colt?
Love the rifle. The music not so much,I had to mute the video, before scrolling on by.
I can never please everyone lol
Not gun related, but what band is that shirt? 🤔
Haha no problem the brand is called SATURDAYS and it was made in California
Alright I do appreciate it 👍
You’re pretty funny!!
Thanks friend! Go sub to my new channel called LeverBoy. All gun vids will be posted there.
Nice rifle, wrong caliber, 44 mag or 30/30
Hey Mark! I got three 30/30s and ones on layaway and I got one 44 mag on layaway, they coming!
45 colt can be loaded to be 100% (and in some cases superior) equivalent to 44 Mag.
@MrMcIntyre1220 yup, 45 can exceed 44 mag of you want it too.
It's an old round, not out dated.
😂
Bruh what shirt Is that?
Shooting is good but hitting ain't worth a damn
Them sights were off big time. Next time I sight in the rifle first then shoot a video lol
🇺🇦👍
^_^
I'd love to have a .45LC lever-action and a .45LC revolver
Don’t have the revolver yet but maybe one day! Hey if you wana see lever gun updates go to my new channel called LeverBoy 👍🏻
