Description: This GS-4, the water canteen, and cars are mine and are made by Broadway Limited Imports. It took me over the course of two years to acquire #4449, #4452 (not present during filming), the water canteen, and the cars. All the cars are the 1953 Postwar Coast Daylight. This is actually the first time I had the ENTIRE set out to run and I'm very pleased that it went without any major hiccups. A special thanks to Logan aka SCL3618 and the Waynesboro Model RR Club for extending an invitation to run. I had a wonderful time.
Thank you for sharing with us a great model, looks like someone put a lot of effort into acquiring all the rolling stock for that train. I chuckled a little when I saw that other steam engine in front of 4449, looks like 4449 was wearing it like a hood ornament and pushing the thing to its max capability.
A friend of mine actually emailed BLI and apparently in said email they said there gona be doing a new run of GS-4's around the end of this year and next year a Brass hybrid of the Ac-9
@@GLC_1882 that’s sweet! Last I heard the tooling for these models was damaged but guess they managed to repair or replace it. And them wanting to make an AC-9 is going to be insane.
Very attractive SP GS 4 class model, I heard that BLI is producing a new release of their GS 4 models in either 2024 or 2025 & if that is true then I need to start saving up $$ for a locomotive asap. I am assuming that these GS 4 models will cost $500-600 from viewing the prices of other BLI 4-8-4 models that I have seen, the prices of these locomotives will really make your wallet scream.
making me jealous lol. I had a MTH HO 4449 in the BNSF livery. Sent it off to a friend for him to do a few things on it. he passed away, and his family sold everything, including her and my Fox Valley Milwaukee road A class. Haven't bought a GS4 to replace her yet.
@@SCL3618 indeed. I envy you mate, it’s a beautiful consist. The best I can afford right now is the new daylight train set that Bachmann is putting out.

Thank you for having me over at the club and letting me run my 4449 and cars. You got great footage of it.
Beautiful engines, even more beautiful in HO scale!
They're awesome!

I always loved the daylight. I have the 2013 or 2015 one. Thank you for bring back old memories :D
The pacing shot starting at 0:55 was amazing! Seeing the rods fly around at speed made it look like the real thing! Incredible!
Thanks! It was fun to film.
@@SCL3618 if only I was part of a club, I’d film the heck out of my Dreyfus and 20thCL set. Keep up the great videos.
What a great locomotive!
SP 4449 and water tank cars and carriages are perfect!
Gorgeous!
Broadway Limited should make those again but into paragon4 I would love to see that
Definently needs to make an appearance in P4.

@@GLC_1882 Now that’s excellent news I want to hear thanks for telling us and keeping us informed what Broadway is doing

@@michaelstrains4014 If that happens, then Bachmann will make a SP MT-4 Class

Latest batch is scheduled for summer/fall of this year. DCC ready Stealth options will follow next year for less $$.

Awesome video friend!!
Ooh SP Daylight she’s purtty
This is fantastic
This looks like a southern Pacific locomotive with the paint scheme
I can't tell if I am getting wooooshed or not, but it's the Southern pacific daylight Gs-4.
Nice train and the whistle sounds like a ghost whistle
God, I wish I could afford Broadway limited stuff, that daylight looks stellar!
The cars have gotten much cheaper since release, engine is the biggest expense as of now. But it's a great looking set!

@@TKS60163 Nothing wrong with that! This set wasn't mine, just had the chance to film and photo it.
Does BLI still make their GS4s?
These haven't been offered since Paragon 2 days. Supposedly there's a batch in Paragon 4 rumored later this year, but time will tell.
They should make those water tenders again
I might be wrong but I think daylights water tender is backwards.
such a beautiful locomotive
btw you add aux tender wrong way
Nice. These are super hard to find. I think BLI made only one run of these if I'm not mistaken.
Definently hard to find, but they're really nice. Much better casting than MTH imo.
Did Athearn make a blue box gs4
What scale is that loco from the video?
This one is HO scale
@@SCL3618 Alright, Thanks!
PS sorry for the late reply
Been after one for what feels like forever
Check out the movie of my daylight express on my other RUclips channel.
CVMRR EST. 1985
Just need the mt-4 now
Got one! Just haven't filmed it yet.
