I was one of them people who hated the idea of this tournament but this has changed my mind. It gives some lower teams a chance to make amazing moments and compete in europe because we all know in all top leagues its usually the same every year. Congrats West Ham

Started supporting West Ham at 10, the season after they got relegated, before the Prem started. Watched them at Upton Park that season and was elated when we pipped Portsmouth to promotion by GD… Then the lows… the first relegation I experienced with a team that was too good to go down… then the heartbreak of 2006 and Stevie G! But what a time to be a West Ham fan right now!🔨

People need to realise, this isn't just a 3rd tier European Tournament. That it means nothing and nobody wants to win it. They had this in the past, with the Cup Winners Cup. Losts of big teams won that and it was taken seriously. This Trophy will be in the future, theres not a lot of silverware to win out there, so total respect to West Ham for winning it. Not only that but they had a poor season in the League. Yet winning that means they are also in the Europa League next season. With this Competition and the Eurpa League, that bring in extra money. My team Tottenham are not even in Europe next season, so I would rather be in West Hams position now. Look at Chelsea, also in the same boat as us. Maybe this could tempt Pice to stay now, he will be able to play in Europe again next year.
