Nice video, but with a CR2032 battery your setup would only last a few days. How would you replace the battery since it's soldered and glued in? Why not use a rechargeable AA or AAA power source? (And soldering a CR2032 battery is just ASKING for trouble.)

Its hard to calculate the r without doing a course or traning in resistor. , i am telling this because i am e.engineer then also they didn't learn me how to calculate r , so for that you have to do a specific cource or you have to understands by yourself by practicing it , Thank You.

I believe it would be possible, but then your battery would be gone in no time, since the soil should be humid most of the time.

It works. You can use any NPN transistor as it says on video (i'm using the 2N3904).
