I never comment but I felt I had to. Such a good teacher. One of the best explanatory videos I have ever watched. I learned everything about this feature from this video because you showed everything as you went along. Thank you!
This video does not cover how to upload a file, it's mainly about user management. The follow up video has it: ruclips.net/video/JBIKJzDA4WM/видео.html&ab_channel=EchoLakeTechnologies
Try this plugin: bubble.io/plugin/file-downloader-1539124824422x194279356396994560 The Button Workflow Action will be "Download file" which you'll find in "Plugins" list of Actions. Does that work for your use-case?
You are possibly the only one that showed exactly how to do this properly. I spent the whole day trying to figure it out. Thank you. Your part 2 of this is even more gold.
It doesn't look like you can directly change the file name as you upload However, you could create a Data Field called "File Name" and add an input field called "file name". During the Workflow Step, have "File Name equal to the value of the "file name" input element. Then when you show your users the file, show the "File Name" and not the actual name of the file. Not sure if that works for your use-case?
Thanks for reaching out. I created a second part to this video showing how to setup the FileUploader Element (including the Conditionals) and the associated Workflow. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/JBIKJzDA4WM/видео.html Does that video help fix the issue? Let me know either way. Best wishes!

Thanks but you didn't show how to download the files.

what if I don't create a field for user type in my database? does that mean the uploaded files will be available for anyone?
How do you download a copy of file or picture from the database?
great video
Is there a way to create download button so user can download these files?

Hi! while uploading the file, it does not appear in the repeating group list. the file's name appears in the file upload button

Video has literally nothing to do with upload and download files like the title suggests
