The flares are definitely shorter lived in 3 than 2, which is a pain because it was always a much darker game, doubly so in the remaster!
If you don't shoot the tigers they drown when you fill the area with water, although immediately, as if they're fatally allergic to water.
Such a gorgeous level, so much effort went into populating it with new plants.
Ye it’s super annoying because you really need the flares in TR3 and they last no time at all 😭💔 oh thanks for letting me know what happens to the tigers 😃 I loved this so much 😍
PS1 TR3 was the first TR I ever played all those years ago. Along with TR1 & 2, TR3’s Jungle and Temple Ruins levels were my favourites and still are to this day, the remastered versions being even more spectacular. Having said that, in some ways I still prefer the original graphics only because they have greater clarity - somehow, there’s a murkiness sometimes to the remasters
'I will be killin' all the monkeys in this game' absolutely finished me off 😂😂 I share the same trauma Suzanne 😂. I could never understand why the monkeys were friendly in the first level, but not the second 😂 xxx

Pretty sure the monkeys are friendly until you kill one of them, then they all become unfriendly after that, but the final monkey right at the end of the first level has already grabbed the key before you can get to it, so you need to kill the final monkey in level one anyway in order to get the key, which is why they then become unfriendly in the next level. 👍
You know, Sheldon Cooper had a similar trauma with birds - especially the issue with the seagull that stole his ice cream. "I got the message."
Yaaaaaaaaaayyy! I’ve been so excited for TR3! Jungle is GORGEOUS! 🤩❤️ You’re so right, that with the added plant effects, some areas look totally different! 38:12 The pink candyfloss clouds were one of my favorite new things! Watching you play this level was the highlight of my day! I love the music in this level. It’s clever, although mean that the monkeys take/hide pickups!! From what I understand, it’s only on New Game+ that the crystals are green and restore health. I think I’m the most excited overall to see the remastered enhancements in each of the different areas in TR3. I love experiencing the Remasters with a true fan like you, Suzanne! ❤️😍 Hoping that you and everyone watching has an awesome week! Can’t wait for the next level!!!

I honestly wasn't looking forward playing TR3 when the Remasters first came out but as soon as I saw the jungle and what they have done with the level I was very motivated to get into it. 😁 All the little branches and the gras and the lighting ups the atmosphere so much. 😍 🌳🌴🌿🌿🌾🌴🌳😍

Most awaited notification of the week! The India levels are just perfection if you ask me. They added to the atmosphere so much with the vegetation, the sky, the waters. Maybe is a bit less spooky than the original version, but nonetheless it is still beautiful.

It’s so exciting to start into the game 😍 They really outdid themselves with these levels, they look beautiful 🤩 I do agree that the spooky atmosphere is lost slightly, but that’s just a great reason to still play both versions I think 🥰
Oh. Hell. Yes! Now the game really begins. I got so lost in these first few levels 😅 but I still enjoyed the game. Oh and by the way, yes, the crystals are for an achievement, but in new game plus they save your progress and fully heal you, just like in TR 1. This is gonna be a fun playthrough!

Ah, Tomb Raider 3, probably the hardest game in the OG timeline, especially the South Pacific levels (though the London levels are no slouch, either).
In this level, the monkeys do no harm and are actually helpful. If they pick up stuff, follow them, and they lead you to other stuff (usually medpacks). If you shoot one, they become aggressive.
Save crystals only healed you in the PC version. Given that this remaster is obviously based on the PS version (the crystals are blue, not green), they're basically useless, since you can save anywhere. Still, try and get all of them, just for fun.
Definitely the hardest game, it’s so unforgiving 😂🙈 I will try my best to collect all the crystals 🥰

Here we go!!! I haven't touched TR3 since I was a kid so the plan is to play along with each video as I can't remember a damn thing. 😂 I will say, the remasters are really lacking in accessibility. There isn't much you can change or tweak for people who want the game brighter, bigger subs, that kinda thing.

btw about the health boost of crystals. Yah, I was bumped they took it out, but I tried new game plus and they put it there.. but only when you use them from the inventory to save. They give you a health boost then. Like, it's kind of pointless for them to exist now in normal game, if they are there just to be collected..

Never knew about the first 2 secrets. Played this game a lot. The most of all the TR games. I learn new things about tombraider every time i watch one of your TR videos. Love your accent. Only killed the monkey with the key. Waited for him to drop it, but he did not. So had to kill him 😭🤣. Great play through. Thanks for the video.

HINT: In the PS formats for the remastered game, when Lara gets poisoned, her health bar appears the usual red-green, but decreasing with flashes of yellow.

Even though CORE said they didn't really intend for the first 3 games to be connected to each other story wise, it's interesting that they did another evolution plot that has to do with using a magical artifact to speed up the evolutionary process.

There’s an achievement for collecting all the save crystals. I managed to get it just ‘cause lol I thought you’d like what they did to the jungle. I thought they did an awesome job with Tomb Raider III :) I think you speak really good English, and I always liked the Irish accent. People usually criticize others because their own lives are flawed, and it makes them feel better to lash out at others. It’s best just to ignore them. Don’t give them the satisfaction :)

I was a bit bummed that the save crystals don’t heal you this time (they do in NG+), but with the exception of the one in the cold pool of the RX tech mines level, they weren’t as missed as I thought they were going to be.

Mention, they give you all your collected items (med kits, ammo, etc) when you get your pistols back in high security compound! It’s perfect because it means players don’t necessarily need to play Nevada first anymore!

Great fun as always, Suzanne - been hanging for this. Might I point out two minor errors? First, the Polynesian stone statues are MOAI ('Moh-eye'), not MAUI ('Mou-ee'), the Hawaiian island. Second, the monkeys are probably based on macaques, common throughout Asia. Definitely not chimpanzees or baboons which are much larger, and are African apes, like you and me. How to tell: we have no tails. Bring it on, raider gal.

I had the demo for this before I got the full game, it ends at the big log the tiger comes running down. Me and my friend spent many an hour trying to somehow get past that point without triggering the end of the demo.

@@suzannetheraider This game had multiple demos. The one I had was the entirety of Coastal Village (only without the cutscene at the end), and I've seen another that's a hybrid of elements of High Security Compound and Area 51.

At the beginning of this level when you thought there was a medipak on the branch with the monkey I also thought there was one too. So I went and played the Original TR 3 and jumped up to the branch with the monkey and there is no medipak. I could of swore there was one up there but no just a monkey. lol By the way no monkeys were harmed when I checked this out. LOL

These jungle levels are hard!! No shame in using cheats. I played originally in the days of the PS1 and went to a couple of electronics stores looking for Prima’s official strategy guide just in case… it’s now a fun collectible 😂🤩💯

According to video game sound designers, there are only like 5 bird species on Earth and they're all native to the US. Even Japanese games do it. I was playing Breath of the Wild and heard a Whippoorwill. I mean yeah it's a cool sounding bird but Japan has plenty of native cool sounding birds.
This concludes my ornithological TedTalk. Please consider donating to the National Audubon Society, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, or whatever wildlife conservation organization near you. Birds are important. Look up. Appreciate them. Protect them.

@@christy4075 yes, I totally agree. My daughter’s name is (airiana) Ariana, and there was someone getting snotty about the way my daughter’s name is pronounced. I always kept hearing airiana instead of (areiana).
Awh you going on about your way of pronouncing things and people constantly correcting you, why are people so unnecessarily rude! :') I like to have proper grammar and try to speak good english (I'm finnish actually) but I understand people have different accents! And watching your videos made me realise I love this particular accent, it makes me giggle when you go like "you complete ARRSEHOLES" at the enemies haha 😂❤

Even though I recently finished New Game+, this game will never get old for me. The ability to "choose" your own adventure adds SO much replayability, and watching your playthroughs have made me want to play it yet again! 😅

The monkeys are called macacques btw (pronounced mah-CACKs). I watched a ton of Animal Planet as a kid 😅. I think the temple levels are supposed to mirror the real one that's full of these monkeys
