After the practice lap I wasn't sure how I felt about this course - it was fast with lots of deep sand. I ended up loving it.
I was taken out by a tree that moved in front of me on lap 3 about two miles in and lost my visor with GoPro and transponder attached. Luckily my time was captured manually at the finish.
Visor with GoPro attached was picked up by a sweeper and returned safely with some interesting footage. Thanks to the race volunteers for locating and returning my items.
