The information and detail how to remove and install a diesel injection pump was Marvellous, Also working with a 1970’s Ford 5600 was a change rather then JD or international 🇬🇧🇮🇪.

I have a Ford 5000 that was leaking diesel from the end of the injection pump. I was told the injection pump needed rebuilding tonthe tune of $1,200.00. It was still running good so I let it slide. Later saw a tractor mechanic, told him what I had and he asked if I had changed the lift pump on it. He said 9 times out of 10 that was the problem. Bought 1 for $35.00, changed it, drained and refilled the oil in it, crossed my fingers, started the engine, and it never leaked another drop.

What was the symptoms of a bad injection pump?
Did you have to set it on top Dead center if so where are the timing marks
How do you connect the clip behind the pump that goes back to manual lever at steering wheel
Great to get her going I left ours running today and accidentally run her out of diesel and now won't start so just changed filter hopefully can get mine going tomorrow

How much did they charge to rebuild your pump?
my 1964 ford 5000 probably needs the injection pump rebuilt. it takes 8 turnovers before it starts up. replaced the fuel lift pump as well. does that make sense there jacob?
You need to show folks how, where and how much oil to put in the injection pump. Looks like that part got skipped....

I like it ford 5600
I have a 7600. In the process of take my pump off. Mine is a little different than your 5600.
7600 had a Simms inline pump. Removing those are totally different than the Cav rotary pump.
All the handheld shots are hard to watch. Makes one nauseas... Other than that I appreciate the content
