Thank you Duncan that is very generous of you and much appreciated
You’re videos have come just at the right time for me Ivan, I have to drastically downsize too so I will be following you for great tips ❤
Great stuff Thank you Linda
Just a tip, when you are filling the new pot leave the empty pot in the new container and fill around it,then you can take the empty pot out and drop the potato into the hole.
Thank you used to do that also
Thanks Ivan, like you my first earlies are doing well. Thanks for advice
Great stuff Thank you Edwina
You’re right about the weather tonight and tomorrow night, I’ve just carried 61 x 1 litre pots back into my dinning room full of tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and cucumbers. I wish I lived a bit closer I could have give you a hand preparing your plants for your move.
Wow all that food and no room to eat
Thank you Linda
Yep a couple of days ago I planted my charlottes in 10 inch flower buckets (14 of them) purchased 8 for a £1 from Morrisons supermarket, originally started off in 600g pots. Use to transplant into 30 litre buckets but getting too heavy for me to handle now. Old compost plus some new with fertiliser to regenerate it. We are in Essex temp down to 2 wed/thurs nights down to 1 on Sunday night
Great stuff Thank you Derek
Great work Ivan many tks
Thank you Alan

I tried this, mine are just starting to break through the surface, really looking forward to potting them on and seeing how well this works, I also have a few in larger containers that are doing really well. Thanks again Ivan for your excellent videos. Andrew
Thank you Andrew

Timely reminder re the cold temperatures. Just been out to the greenhouse to sort things out 👍
Brill Thank you Chris
Thanks Ivan, those spud plants are looking great, more brilliant info' for the container gardeners. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Cheers Stevie
If I was closer Ivan I'd happily offer to help you move all your pots and stuff to your new place - apart from the fact I've literally just had an op and can't drive for 6 weeks
Very kind of you Ann but i am sure we will manage
Thank you
Beautiful Green house Evans Gardening the best
Thank you Rose

My early Duke of yorks have blight im gutted. I live in North Yorkshire and our weather has been absolutely awful. I’ve had them outside so I should have kept them in the green house.ive also got some Maris pipers in which I hope fair better
Bad news on the Dukes make sure you bin them or it may return on future plantings Thank you Sarah
Sweet cherry pie lvan great video nice one 🍒❤😁
Thank you! Cheers!
Glad you got somewhere , it’s hard looking for a property especially when your looking for a garden area also ❤
Very true so i went my own way on this one
Thank you
Hi Ivan.
Great timing on the video.
I left some potatoes in a pot over winter from last year.
They've started growing again, and I was wondering whether I could repot them or not.
It's slightly different from what you've done today, but I'll give it a go, it's not costing me anything and if it works... winning.
And if it doesn't...I'll blame you!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Many thanks.
I took out some spuds from last year that had sprouted from a raised bed in readiness for new plants. When I pulled them up I got about 8 or 9 really decent sized spuds. 😆 Bonus!

Ah well, I live in hope.
Anything is a win in my view.
Haha thanks for that
Just give them a go but keep your eye out for early Blight
Thank you Dandy
Try it you never know
thanks Ivan, I'm lucky living on the Kent coast the temperatures tend to be warmer than yours 😃
Roll on Summer Thank you Pauline
I've never planted potatoes this late in the season but this year I'm trying a second planting to see what happens. We don't have 1st early's. 2nd early's, and main because it gets too hot to grow them in the summer.
Good plan Thank You Connie
RUclips messed up the render on this one mate the intro is skipping in the background while the video PiP
Just checked at my end and all seems ok
Thank you
Hello Ivan, first time I found your videos, I was researching over wintering pepper plants. I saw your video and tried it out. It was unsuccessful unfortunately, the 6 peppers I tried to overwinter died, in my unheated greenhouse. Just wondering how yours worked out? Did they survive? I'm in SE Ireland so similar climate to your I'd say. Thanks, Sarah
Hi Sarah to over winter Peppers they need to be indoors and given light they wont survive in a Greenhouse unless heated and we dont heat Greenhouses either
The Peppers did not survive as i put them outside during the day as it was sunny but forgot to bring them back in at night and they died due to cold and frost
Thank you
You can get compost from Poundland it’s 3.50 for 40 litres and that’s what I use plus at the moment it’s 3 for the price of 2 and that’s a bargain
Thank you Christine
Hi Ivan I have over wintered 4 sweet bell pepper plants indoors which are doing well and starting to flower already, my question is to I need to acclimatise these to the outside again or will they be ok to go out once all this cold weather has passed, thanks Andrew
Yes as they will no longer be used to full sun and keep them away from frost
Thank you
Mine are in grow bags & growing like crazy.... im hoping ull explain when i can harvest the potatoes
Think i mentioned that in the video but will go over harvest times for 1st & 2nd earlies and main crop in the future Thank you Claire
Hi Ivan, will you take potatoes indoors? Mine are in polytunnel and doing about the same
I just covered them with fleece last night and today they are all ok
Thank you Adam
Oops.... ALL my spuds are in or should I say 'out' in the garden. I've no options to bring indoors so gonna have to hope for the best and maybe wait a few extra weeks next year. Get em in early I thought.... get a head start I thought.... inclement weather, I didnt think... 🙈🙈
😂 fingers crossed for you.
if not poking out of the soil they will be fine but if they are cover with some fleece
Thank you Leigh
Thank you
My spuds are in two and beets outside
Oops, first Earle’s are already in, but not showing yet. Also put outbreaks as needed the space. Hope they all survive
Oh dear i cant take mine in.... i hope they will be ok 😬
Ivan, I did some seeds in trays a few days ago (obviously nothings grown yet) theyre under cover but should i put a bit of fleece over them do you think? Thank you.
Should be ok if not Germinated and poking out yet
Thank you
