As a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, that sir would definitely pass a military inspection 😊. I think this is the issue: You’re using a mild blade with a mild razor. I use shark blades too but I pair it with the Muhle R41. The open comb and more aggressive nature of the razor works very nice with a milder blade like shark. I get phenomenal baby butt smooth shaves with only 2 passes using that combo. Excellent video!
I tried the Shark Super Chrome blades one time and found it produced irritation across my whole face and it didn't even get to a DFS. I'm not sure if I got a bad blade (perhaps QA issues at Lord?), or if this blade is just a bad match for my skin / hair type. Many people recommend the Shark Super Stainless (not the Super Chrome). I have a pack of them to try, but haven't gotten around to testing them yet since the other Lord blades I've tried have been pretty uncomfortable. The best Lord blade for me thus far was the Lord Platinum, but at that price-point I prefer Gillette Platinum or Rapira Swedish Super Steel blades.
Yes most blades made by Lord are not my favorites including the Sharks. They seem popular but they would not be my first choice. The only blades made by Lord I actually really like are the Silver Star and I don’t think mine even say Lord on the packaging. I think I just found that out on accident on the internet one day. Thanks again for watching and your comments.
when you shave under the nose, and upper lip area, i think you should use your tongue to flatten the skin for better blade movement. Looks like you're struggling in that area. 2 passes max.
Lord blades have been hit or miss for me, to a point where I’m not particularly enthusiastic about trying out the samples I have. I’ll get to them eventually I’m sure. Thanks for testing these out. Have a great day!
Afraid to use lather? I lost the count how many times you passed dry. How can we judge a blade that way? there is suppose to be lather between the blade and skin, again!
Without rewatching I think it was because the blades were doing a terrible job removing hair so had to keep going over the same spot repeatedly. Once I do the first pass and my face is still wet I never have a problem going over again lightly and then do full passes with lather everywhere. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@jcshaves In my case it would have been bloody. I like the shark stainless steel (the cheapest) a lot. They are the best if you like I do place a new clean blade each shave.
@@gertverhoeven I am lucky that I usually only have be careful on my against the growth pass. I don't think these were my favorite but everyone has their favorites.
Good review of a mediocre blade. I appreciate your exploration into varieties of blades. I tried them in the past. But life is too short for crappy shaves. I don’t use Sharks anymore. On the other hand... they are one of my son’s favorites. I think that he prefers them because they are mild and he likes them in his aggressive razor.
Glad you said they were mediocre because that was pretty much my thoughts. I try to stay positive but also be truthful but am afraid I’m getting too picky. I want them all to be sharp and smooth and give me bbs.

Sharpness rating, 1-5 what would you give it?
I’d say 2. Not my favorite. I tend to like sharp blades in a mild razor.

Same here hit or miss. I also think I’m getting pickier and want a perfectly smooth face every time.
what a russian roulette under that nose! Like, dry enough?

Got some of these blades but not used them tbh
Let me know how they go when you get to them.
