Great video! I especially agree with the one of buying non-fiction books.
A great purchase for me was buying a guitar that is easy to play. I previously had an acoustic guitar that sounded great but it was hard on my hands because the strings took a lot of strength to press down on. Once I got a guitar that was comfortable to play, my practice time went way up.
Whenever you really want to invest in a hobby/passion, sometimes buying equipment that is high-quality will motivate you to keep developing that hobby. In other words, if you buy a really cheap crappy instrument you may never feel like playing it (but of course don't over-spend on a hobby before you know if you'll even like it).

I agree with all except the nonfiction books. I personally just don’t get on well with self improvement books, even though I tried so hard in the past and read many of them. Now I will only borrow them from the library since I never end up going back to them after I’m finished reading and usually don’t even enjoy the process of reading.
Books I will spend money on are fiction books from used book stores or library sales locally and when I travel. But I still read more of those from the library than I buy, and rarely buy a full price new book.

I have to say that I’m so happy you started to get into Tennis and see all the benefits for yourself personally! I’m kind of a hater of pickleball (only because they are taking over so many courts in Washington and no new tennis courts seem to be being made) so originally when y’all were getting into that I was a little… bummed, but I know I’m biased! Anyways so happy to see how much joy tennis has brought to you, and how you feel about what you’re doing for exercise is what’s most important. This list is actually so well balanced and I appreciate it. Going to look into the book recommendation!

I messed up bad with a stock in 1986. I had $7500 I was gonna put into a stock at .10 per share which would have given me 75,000 shares. Had the money doing the deal with the stock broker. At the last minute I decided to buy a vacation to Tahiti & a couple of exotic Parrots. That stock right now would be worth as of Friday 5/10/24 $8,958,384,000. Plus getting .75 per share quarterly which would be $64,800,000 per year. That stock was Micro soft. I still kick myself in the a55 for backing out at the last minute.

To go worth the knife recommendation, I love my electric knife sharpener to keep my knives razor-sharp. A sharp knife is a safe knife. Americas’s Test Kitchen even used a high-powered microscope at MIT to show that their preferred consumer sharpener gets the knife sharper than a new knife from then factory.

even if you are super clumsy? i have avoided super sharp knives because even if I think i'm paying attention, my limbs don't follow my brain's instructions in time sometimes (ADHD) and I end up poking myself with the knife, even just picking it up or while washing it, let alone using it! so i keep my knives duller than they normally should be because otherwise I'd just impale myself. this has saved me a severe wound several times.

What apps (or other channels) do you use for investing? People always say: _investing in stocks is easy and great!_ but noone ever gives a tutorial on what apps to use and *h.o.w* to use those apps or whatever you're using. I'm not talking about advise on what stocks to invest in here, I'm talking about how to handle the interface of the channel that you're using for investing

The platform is honestly not as important as just doing it, but you can use fidelity, vanguard, Charles schwab, Ally. I use Ally. I would recommend getting your account set up online rather than an app, but maybe I'm just old. Opening a Roth IRA would be my first recommendation to anyone who has not done so. You can contribute $7k a year as long as you have $7k in earned income. For more advice on investing you should really look at RUclips channels focused on that. Erica taught me is a good one. I love the money guy show as well. The book by Ramit Sethi called I will teach you to be rich is a good roadmap as well.

About reading, does it have to be a real book? What about comics, magazines and newspapers? Comics are fun to read. Magazines have sports, fashion, games, etc. And newspapers have a lot of facts and current events going on in the real world. Technically, they all count as reading.
