It's amazing how trends come back in fashion. This is why my son who's 19 has asked me to crochet some red roses to wear on a stem of black with black leaves to wear around his neck to a concert, hes 's a goth of course.
So glad I found your channel, I'm a newbie to sewing and upcycling, and have learnt so much h already. Just to be shown how to join lengths of fabric to make ruffles, patches, and not bother about raw edges. Amazing tutorials. I've not sewn for a long time, just bought a little sewing ma hine to get started. Loving all your boho makes and makeovers. tfs

I had to alter the hem of my granddaughters senior prom dress 5 inches. Its skirt was in 5 layers, 3 of netting which only required carefully measuring and cutting and one layer of white lined satin as lining. From the leftover fabrics of dark purple, antique purple with gold sequins of flowers and swirls, white netting and lined white satin, I made a bouquet. Due to your videos, I made different colors and sizes of roses. I used a sturdy cardboard tube sawed into required length for handle, 2 round, plastic lids from coffee containers, slightly different sizes that I cushioned with thin Styrofoam and hot glued together. Made a tube bag with quilted bottom to fit coffee lids into. Made it tall enough for some polyester stuffing on top of lids and enough height to gather top of fabric snug secured by strong rubber band to make a flower in middle of dome. I estimated into this a hem to cover inside of gathering/flower. I wrapped handle with 1" matching ribbon with glitter edging, hot gluing at both ends. A Gatorade cap fit perfectly over open end of handle. I covered cap with matching fabric and glued it on. I had cut a hole in the bottom coffee lid and Styrofoam using Gatorade cap for pattern. But when cutting quilted base, I cut pie shape wedges same size circle. I applied hot glue in said hole and inserted the handle while also inserting the pie wedges. I then added more glue where handle was inserted. I decorated with different colors of roses and thin ribbon, and gold beads, ribbons and jewelry. My granddaughter loved it and added some embellishments of her own. Thanks for allowing me to provide an inexpensive keepsake for a loved one's milestone. ❤

Absolutely wonderful ! You have such a talent. I love watching your tutorials. I ruptured a disc and haven't been able to do a lot of sewing purses, etc. But, I decided I could at least sit at my desk (old teachers desk from the 60's, lots of room for working) and hand sew velvet flowers, many different sizes. I started with the velvet because I bought a large box of velvet scraps at a yards sale for $3.00. Could not pass that up. I have a desk covered with flowers and I wasn't exactly sure what I would do with them. You have inspired me so much. I also appreciate that you have shown me an easier way to make the flowers. Love your work. Thanks so much for all your instructions. The most detailed tutorials of any I have seen.

Please know that you are bringing joy into this world at a time when it is truly needed. Thanks so much. Will keep watching and having joy. Would love to know the prices on your bags. I make and sell denim quilts. I sold 66 in l and l/2 year, however, buyers want me to keep lowering the prices. I even had folks who were buying my quilts and reselling. I must keep the sizes limited because of shipping costs which can be more than the price of the heavy denim quilts :). I've taken a break from making quilts due to feeling like all that effort is not appreciated as folks just want for me to smash the sales prices. I prefer to focus on creating items I will use and enjoy. I totally understand your need to design and create. Especially loved seeing you at thrift stores. Thrifting is one of my favorite hobbies. I am just in awe of how many beautiful things you have created! I've watched all your videos & have been doing some of my own purses lately. I have sewn by hand for years & make my own kimonos & I'm always adding lace to everything, & fringe! I was wondering, have you sold all the creations you show in your slide show at the end of some of your videos, or do you still have some of them? I'm no where near as good as you but I've been using your techniques since I found you on here a few months ago. I'm actually just starting to learn how to use a sewing machine & have been doing everything by hand. I've been making fringe out of everything I can find as well! Lol! Love your tutorials & how you explain them. You make it very easy. I know you said you have issues with your wrists, & I have carpatunnel really bad in both hands & I'm 47, so I know it's going to just get worse so I'm trying to get into doing more by machine. I need a new machine tho. Anyway thanks for all you do & for the gorgeous creations you make!! Take care.

Love all your videos!! I'm learning a lot and getting a little braver about experimenting but I don't seem to have enough time in the day to do everything I want to do (got to sleep sometimes 😁). Your style and your method of instruction is so appealing. You come across as someone I would like to hang out with and create. Thanks for your tutorials and keep on turning them out please. Bless you!
