Thank you Bog, love your videos! I wish the player could pick the size of the landing pads (or purchase the carrier in sections) as I'm not a fan of large ships. More interested in moving my fleet to new areas than anything else.
Hopefully we can do something like this with the upgrades. It'll be cool to see where you head out! I want to see about getting to the highest/lowest point (z-axis) more easily/quicker with the FC
Well done, my friend - you always put together some stellar content (no pun intended) with ridiculous production value. Always love getting your perspective on changes to the ED universe. You ask (and try to answer) the same questions that seem to rattle around in my head. o7 CMDR
That's what I'm thinking.. it's gotta be more than a Cutter with A-rated internals, reactive surface composite, and prismatics. I'm stocking up on painite and void opals now haha
Now dis is content! Awesome info update , i already thought it would be available for a "solo" player as well , since everyone should be able to play the game fully , and the credits needed for it will also be fairly obtainable for a "solo" CMDR, i think. Thanks for the video Bog! 👍
I'm sorry I'm just getting back to you! There is more that I want to add, however, with Odyssey soon on the way I wanted to wait until it gets released so that I can include anything important that Odyssey might have in these videos as well
I just found his guardian materials guide, got hyped thinking "finally someone who does ACTUALLY simple guides" and checked his vids to see if there was more... There's 3 videos on there, and none in a year.
Very disappointed in this being widely available, disappointed its persistence and being indestructible. How much does the mutliplayer part of this game need to suffer? Are Imps allowed to invade federal powerplay space? Or a squadrons BGS space? Without being able to destroy an important asset of theirs? They always announce something so cool. But cut the head off of it for the solo player. I was really hoping to rely on team members here.
I was surprised to see that everyone can have one. I liked the idea of just squadrons. What I'm interested in right now is why we have these. I'm hoping there's something big coming that'll necessitate having these. You've got really good points here
@@bognogus I assume its going to be for the great migration to Colonia. Whenever that happens. This thargoid invasion has to turn into something by the end of it. Those are the tools to get us there.
Its no surprise that its indestructible because it is persistent. It has to be persistent if others can land on it. If you own the ship and when you log off, anyone else on board would be stuck and unable to access their ship till you log back on. It has to be persistent and since it is persistent it has to be indestructible for similar reasons. You have no way to defend when you or on board guests are not logged in. People can still use Fleet carriers as squadron ships. There doesn't seem to be anything stopping that from happening.
@@davidentz7440 not being one of these people, I can tell you there's a fairly big layer of people who would absolutely love everything in the game be persistent AND destructable: look at how many people play Rust. However, yes, Elite is not Rust, and FDev have gone out of their way to not foster a “hardcore pvp” community. And for good reason: games with persistence and death having a large cost of losing most or all of your resources attract a certain type of player while everyone else runs away in disgust. The communities of those games are literal sewage dumps.
Dude the whole industry has been neglecting and outright shunning singleplayer games for a while now. But one company dares to do things in a less competitive way and you are up in arms about it? I get maybe wanting some meat, but destructible carriers? How much would that cost in resources, and how extremely ripe for abuse and griefing would that be? You don't care of course - players like you never think of this shit -, you just want to pew pew in a large group of friends. Let me guess, Elite should also disable solo and private modes so that you have more targets? I don't mean to say you're *wrong* for wanting a more involved multiplayer pvp experience, but Elite has not been moving towards that... ever. And probably won't. On top of that, you have a wide choice of very competitive multiplayer games with persistence, open pvp, territory disputes and all that jazz. If Elite goes the route of EvE, it will lose players like me. If it doesn't, it will lose players like you. They have to chose, these are fairly exclusive directions.
Wouldn't mind flying one of those through a neutron jet. Time to stock up on onion head.
Yessssss. I hope the "not planned" turns into "yes you can fly it". First thing I'm doing is bringing it to a neutron cone
