thats great work. made it looks so easy. 6min to do the hood. the tape wire made it easy & safe. never knew stuff like that exists
harder than it looks man, you're an expert. I've used that tape a lot of times, and it always left jagged edges. but i was never working with a nice flat hood either..

what brand vinyl is this mate? the air release is amazing!
It's 3M 1080 series.
You should be able to use the knifeless tape on most vinyls. We like our 3M vinyl and do not use much Oracal vinyl but is should work just the same with it.
how would you cut round mercedes emblem? use the knifeless tape or blade?
Desy G Generally a blade is easier in that case. (at least in my experience)
The key, whenever using a blade near the surface of the vehicle, is to think about your angles. In a case like this Mercedes emblem, I would cut parallel to the hood, between the hood and emblem. That way you aren't cutting into the factory paint.
First guy ive heard say 3m is the best. Most vids I watch rarely even use it and when they do speak of it its mostly about the cons. Interesting
What prevents the edges rolling up over time ??
@marketyourcarinc. Doesn't this leave a bit a green film from the wire underneath the wrap though?
how do you use the wired-tape for the round mercedes-benz logo in the center? would you have to use the blade for enclosed areas like that? I dont see a way getting around that unless there's already a precut hole in the center for the logo to show.
Is there a reason why you don't use any application gel ?
do these wraps leave a sticky residue if you want to remove it after time?
No not really (I know this is from a long time ago)
+Phil B its 3M (good brand, leaves very minimal glue residue). Cheaper brands sometimes do though.
+Phil B I have removed quality vinyl designed for wrapping many times. Properly done within 4 years is usually a clean removal with only occasional residue which comes off with some adhesive remover. It is after the 5 year mark that you begin to have break down of the mostly horizontal sections and removal can sometimes be much more difficult which is why we have a max time allowance and bill hourly after the max time has been reached.

how to do you get of vinyl that get the circle scratches all over? i wrapped my car but my matte came out with circle scratches i think from my squeegee

does this knife less tape work on the carbon fiber vinyl?
Yup use it all the time. They make thicker versions of the knifeless tape. I prefer that for the thicker carbon and other textured films.
Wasn't just 6 minutes to do the vinyl that is included in the $200 charge...you need to add the cost of the material, labor and overhead, setup time, etc. to get the cost. Then you need to mark up your cost for the profit in order to keep the business going. Nothing is free, my friend.
You didn't wrap the hood in 6 minutes.. You forgot the back end of the hood and under the emblem.. And it wasn't an entire hood haha.

can you use this tape to cut regular vinyl like oracale 751 ?
Yup again, a favorite for applying rally stripes, especially full 360 wraps around rear wings.
+Laszlo Keszthelyi Sounds like you've done this to a MINI. Are you stretching cut stripes over the the wings and then cutting around the wings, or are you actually making the stripes out of wrap? I bought some new stripes for my Countryman and I'm trying to figure out the best way to deal with the wings.
+Shane Wendel Properly designed pre-purchased stripes should look crooked or wavy to contour to the wing and come out straight once installed. If you got straight cut stripes they will almost always come out less then acceptable. I use construction lasers to create & line up my lines and wrap the wing with knife-less tape then wrap the wing to get vinyl laid down with less, stress which lasts longer, then trim with the knife-less tape. Works perfectly for my one off jobs. More frequent applications I will design stripes to be cut on my plotter that lay down straight, which I sometimes use knife-less tape to trim the design material which I then remove it from the vehicle and digitize flat.
with my bad experience with ebay wrap, this video kinda pissed me off... it looked so easy!

kompressor is a component for forced induction...not an engine
Kompresor is a model Spec as they are supercharged. Not an engine.
Kompressor is German for "Compressor" Forced air induction or Supercharger.
