    Your videos are good fun. I figured out the other day that if you press 'Shift+right arrow' while a loop is playing it will skip to an adjacent loop of equal length after the first loop. Haven't seen you do this yet (could be totally wrong there), would love to see you muck around with that!

    Hi Liam! Your vids are great! I will be tuned in. I just bought an OP1 used. I noticed some of the patches in the synth engine have clear volume drop out in the upper register. Is that a function of the patch or a problem with my unit?

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  4 года назад +1

      Hmm that’s weird but it may depend on the patch itself.

    • @LiamKillen

      Choosing the tight kick is important and make sure it’s loud enough in the mix. I usually set drive to 20-30% ish

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  4 года назад +1

      It’s hard to fully get away from that but it could be that the drive is too loud on the master- sometimes bringing that down helps.

  • @fahadha

    Q for you -- for the chord part, did you sample a chord that was in the C minor pentatonic scale (like your bass and lead lines?)? And, secondly, when you play the chord do you only use the notes in that scale? sorry, music theory is mysterious to me at the moment. i'm assuming you used the scale for the chord and for the playback, but want to make sure. thanks.

    • @LiamKillen
      @LiamKillen  5 лет назад

      Hey! The chord has extensions in it, like it’s not a triad.
      I actually started with the chords when originally making this beat and then added a c min pentatonic bass line and liked the way it sounded. Like it’s not totally diatonic.
      Sometimes I just rely on my ears even though i may not know the exact theory behind it though. If it sounds good it’s good!

Keep on doing this nice content :) can you or someone else tell me how exactly can i get these drum kits (especially the TR 707) into the OP-1? I‘m sorry if you already metioned it a few times but i‘ve never seen something like a tutorial for that.
