When is the wedding congratulations
I love all the wedding stuff!
I just wanted to offer a piece of encouragement to you concerning Myles: my oldest son was born in 2008. He was advanced or right on track with everything; then when he was around 19 months he just woke up one day and literally didn’t talk anymore, didn’t use feeding utensils anymore, stopped eating soft foods & lots of other foods… to keep this short I’ll hit highlights: at 2 years old I was told he probably had autism: he started speech therapy and a socialization class. At three years old he started preschool instead of the class, continued speech and got OT as well. I was told he would probably never talk again, forget ever having a conversation with him, he would never eat any new foods, never be able to bathe or know hygiene (like brushing teeth, using deodorant) by himself. He was officially diagnosed with autism at age 4. …. When he was 5 years old he got a new, amazing speech therapist that opened him up to using words. We started with “I want…..” slowly he added words to that. By 6 years old I heard him say I LOVE YOU and my world was complete. But he hasn’t stopped. He’s now 16 years old. He is my social butterfly. Yes, he’s in a lot of special education classes because he’s not just 100% “typical” 16 year old, but he also goes out to 2 mainstream classes. He decided 2 years ago to start setting his own alarm clock to get up for school (obviously we still get up with him but he wants to be independent), he does everything hygiene on his own and has fully since he was about 9, maybe 10 years old. He sings at church- just started joining our choir, everywhere he goes he shakes people’s hands, asks their names, uses “ma’am” and “sir”, asks if they’re a born again Christian…. I just tell you this to tell you GOD has got your sweet boy and your family in the palm of his hands. It’s so easy as a momma to worry and very hard not to worry. But I am one who worried about so much and was told odds were against us but my sweet boy has overcame so many obstacles and I know yours will too ♥️
Thank you for the encouragement! It has been very hard on me emotionally I have been a wreck. It just breaks my heart that he cannot communicate with us. I’ve started thinking of what the other boys were doing and saying by this age and it just makes me sad, but I’m praying that preschool really helps him and we see some progress in his communication! 🩷
@@courtneydanielleyt I understand 1,000%; it’s so hard. Things like this make us realize how precious just the sound of a little voice is. Myles will get there though! I remember a speech therapist telling me for my son “I can see the wheels turning in there! It WILL come out!” And watching your videos and how he likes to just let loose and be vocal, I feel like his wheels are turning too and will be coming out - praying for you all ♥️

I was told my son would never be able to sit n a classroom and he would not be able to a lot things. This when he was in preschool but I said to myself your not God you do not know my son and my son will accomplish the things in life that lady said that elevated him he would never do!
Yes had to go to speech and was in special classes. But my son is very bright and smart he sat n a classroom his speech got better he was one the best students in the class. Yes he had struggles in some thing like comphrending putting things down on paper he knew in his mind what he wanted to say but it was hard for him to write it down. But he finished school and he has a job at Sam’s club and been there for ten years. And one of their best hard workers. So I believe Myles will too! Do not give up God n control ❤

Hi Courtney. I love watching your videos. I’m glad you too took the advice. He is going to have all the services at school and they will work with him. He will do fine. He will have a routine. I know it’s hard when they have a form of autism. I worked with kids and they are the best kids ever. They do learn what you teach them. It’s better for him because he is young. My prayers will always be for Mikes and you and your beautiful family. Just take it day by day. God has a plan. 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
