Bless his heart, he worked so hard. Again parenting done right! You're teaching him that it's ok to get your hands dirty, and how to fix things that 80 percent of kids nowadays don't have a clue about! Stay safe and God bless
Thank you! It is his machine so he is supposed to be doing the majority of the work. As long as he is putting in effort I will happily be right there helping him.
Dylan is a good kid.. Its a fun project the he will hopefully remember long afer I'm gone.. Hopefully its not a "holding the flashlight for dad" kind of memory.
"Things escalated quickly" is a bit of an understatement, but I'd guess that the muck in the cylinders was the root of the lack of compression as well as locking it up
Yes I totally agree.. I'm assuming there was junk everywhere in there causing ring seal issues, valve seal issues and likely the schrader valve on the compression tester couldnt seal either.. I guess the moral of the story is dont store your pelletized feed in your engine 🤣😂
@@gearsnstuff7330 The air cleaner tube wasn't on it when we tried to start it. However the previous owner replaced the starter and you have to remove the carburetor to get it in and out. It was an older gentleman that couldn't get around well and at this point I assume it sat for a period of time with no carb on it and the intake manifold became a critter home.
Itll be published as soon as i get it edited. Editing videos with dylan in them is challenging to say the least. I'm happy he has interest so ill deal with it. It just takes me a bit longer.
I love the way the little man is so interested and willing to get right into the work. Great!
He is not afraid to go a head and dig right in!
Amazing how quick projects escalate

@@kedfarmrepairs I suspect that a mouse or other rodent stashed it on the air cleaner, and the engine just ingested it when you started spinning it

That's one of the fastest ways to get killed. Getting out of the cab under a raised bucket.
Thanks for your concern. I've been doing it for many years it hasnt gotten me yet. By all means, if you are afraid to, then you shouldn't do it...
