Hi Sir, can we paste the data in the hard disk/ take backup of the data in laptop into the hard disk without installing wd software in the laptop? Or is it mandatory to install wd software first?
Sir / Madam, wd software is not mandatory if you want to take manual back up like copy & paste. Without installing this software in your system also you can take manual backup.
Only required if you want to take automatic back up and for password protection etc.

Sir, If you had taken automatic or manual back up of your laptop's entire data to your external hard drive, then you can stay safe. In case any hardware problem arise in your pc or you want to format or reset your pc, then also no need to worry.

Sir, transfer the required files(data) from your ipd pro to your pc. From pc you can take that data backup to the wd external hard drive by using wd discovery software.

Sir, wd discovery application ek madhyam / way / process hai, jho sirf data ko back lene me madat kar ta hai. matlab aap ke systems se app ke har drive or aap ke hard drive se aap ke system mai.
Tho back up lene ke baad, data aap ke external hard drive me aur aap ke system me save reheta hai. aap recover bhi kar sakte hai. koi bhi data / link WD disovery app me save nahi reheta hai.

if you data is too much important for you then you can maintain 2 external hard drives. take back up on two hard drives.
For security reason keep password protected to your pc & external hard drive and never ever share the password to any one / any where.
Sir maine kabhi bhi apni wd passport harddisk ko pc se connect nahi kiya..par me apne mobile k photos or videos ko otg cable se harddisk ma transfer kar deta hu..kya wo automatic backup ho jayenga ya fir muje pc ma app install karke hi back up karna padega?? Plz reply
Sir, What ever you said is that is MANUAL BACKUP. For Automatic back up Your external hard drive must be connected to your PC / Laptop and App must be installed and Internet connection should be ON.

Sir, if you had taken complete automatic backup of your pc's data to external hard drive. After that by mistake if you delete or format data in your pc, then you can recover that data from your external hard drive without any worry.

Sir, jab aap back up option select kar te hai tho waha pe path select kijiye. yani ki folder create kijiye aur usko ek name dijiye. aap ka jo bhi files usme transfer kijiye.
Agar aap ko software ke through back up lene me problem ho rahi hai tho aap manual back up bhi le sakte hai. yani ki direct copy and paste.

Agar thoda jyada height se gire tho problem aa sakthi hai.

sir, agar hard disk me kuch bhi technical problem aye tho pehele aap ko unke customer care center me inform kar ni hai. woh aap ko inform karnge ki aap ke nearest service center me jane keliye ( data recovery and repair )ya.. unke dusere service center pe product ko courier me bhejnekeliye ( data recovery and repair ) purpose.

Sir, while you purchase a new 5TB wd external drive you will get 4.54 TB free space.
Backup depends on the file size you are using. Calculate as per below.
As usual, 1kb=1000bytes & 1mb=1000kb & 1GB=1000mb & 1TB = 1000gb
While coming to pc we have to consider 1TB=1024 GB
same way 2TB = 2048 GB
3TB = 3072 GB
4TB= 4096 GB
Finally 4.54 TB = 4648.96 GB (This much data you can store or can take back up in your hard drive)

Sir, WD Drive Utilities Software only supported with these external devices :-
WD Drive Plus, My Passport, My Book, My Book Duo, WD Backup Drive, easystore
You can install and use only the following 3 softwares for your model:-
WD Discovery, WD Security and Acronis True Image for Western Digital .
But you can not install WD DRIVE UTILITIES software, which is not supported.

Sir mere winodws 11 ha aur mene mere wd 2 tb hard drive me password dala hai jab ma unlock krte hu or use krne ke baad phir safely eject krna ka option click karte hu toh warning message ata hai like this device is currently in use but sab kuch closed hai fhir bhi eject nhi ho raha. Muje lagte hai ki yeh password open hone ke karan ho raha hai toh sir kese drive ko phir se lock krr sakte hai system ma?. Please help sir
sir, 1) aap ka external hard drive ka usb cable aap ke pc / laptop meh jho usb port hai uske sath properly connected hai ki nahi check kijiye.
2) Ek bar aap ke system ko restart kijiye, phir se check kijiye.
@@TechnicalNewscast yes sir sab sahi hai cable properly connected hai. Jab ma bina password dale eject karte hu toh safely eject ho jate hai. Once password dala k phir eject karu toh warning message ate hai.

there search for " device manager "
select that
then go to the last option " Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
select that
there go the option " USB Composite Device"
select that option right click with mouse
select the option "uninstall the device"
now restart the system
keep your Internet On in your Pc
now again come to the control panel -> device manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> USB Composite Device-> right click with mouse
-> select and enter "Update driver"

sir, back process is same for for any capacity hard drive.
For automatic backup process pls see the video again fully.
For manual back up you just plug in your external hard rive and create a folder date wise in the external hard drive. Drag (copy) the file from the system / pc/ laptop and paste(drop) it in your external hard drive folder which you have created.

Sir, your 250 gb model wd external hard drive is not supported for automatic backup. you have to take manual back up only. For manual back up you do not require any additional software.
when you purchase next time please consider 1TB or more.

Sir, (1) if you have already configured with your email id and password and forgot then you can not create another one.
Please keep remember the password vey well. Once you forgot your password then you can not retrieve your data, and in that case you must format entire drive through wd discovery application, all your previously stored data will be erased.
(2) Please keep internet active and also check your external hard drive properly connected to your system usb port.

Sir, once disconnect hard drive from your system and connect to another usb port and check...
If you have connected the hard drive to usb hub then disconnect it and connect directly to pc's usb port and check..
