Awesome video, and I much prefer a manual transmission, but I'm starting to see why more people buy the now quicker Automatic in these cars. The gearing is way, way too tall in these cars. This is in the Z51 that has shorter gearing in the first 3 gears versus the non Z51... I couldn't imagine the gearing being even taller than this lol. You throw a 4.30 rear on this 7 speed manual C7, and this thing would be a rocket! Hell, even a 3.90-4.11 rear would be such an improvement in these cars. The way it's set up stock, you might as well get the automatic... You hardly ever need to shift in this car. At least the 8-speed auto is faster stock vs stock, and it has a manual mode. You upgrade the gears in a manual C7, and I guarantee it would be faster than the 8-speed auto in this car. What a shame GM would gear it like this from the factory. With that 7th gear, you can still get great gas mileage on the highway with 4.30 gears.
nice driving. Love the corvette! Did you feel the ESC intervention? the ESC light sure got a workout. One of my only gripes about the vette - wish you could loosen up the esc a bit. I still want it on, but give me a little wiggle room so to say.
Crazy seeing the traction control light come on at 110+mph !! But I guess 755hp will do that !! Great car for murdering tires and Euro supercars!!! Especially at half the price of most its competitors too !

Do wish I had bought the Grand Sport at times though. But I do love my C7 ,and couldn't see needing more than what it has for HP. on the street anyways.

This is a base c7 with z51 sport package lol.. only like 450hp… i wish i had the zr1
