To each and every one of you who worked on a show, attended a show, or watched a show… thank you.

This is sad, but I will at least appreciate all of the fantastic memories and experiences along the way. Honestly, though I did not watch weekly, this was my favorite promotion in my return to wrestling fandom.
      Thank you Adam and Adam.
Thank you Joe Hendry, Martin Kirby, El Ligero, Primate, Prince Ameen, Bea Priestly, Big Damo, Joseph Conners, and so many more.
Thank you big name stars who still lent their talents to a unique promotion.
      Thank you World Cup participants.
Thank you behind the scenes staff who made it all tick.
Thank you live fans for helping Simon start his journey, and reacting to so many other wrestlers in theirs.
Thank you WhatCulture/Defiant for churning out so much free and well-edited content, and even bringing it to the States for a show.
Thank you Adakain, Shattered Skies and so many more for lending your music.
Thank you to the announcers, the jobbers, the camera crew, whoever bought all those pink glowsticks, whoever bought the PPVs or told their friends about this promotion.
      Thank you EVERYONE.

The fact that most of their talent went to NXT UK is the very reason they went out of business. Once again, WWE had to go out of its way to destroy anything that is good in pro wrestling. They even managed to turn Zack Gibson into a guy you barely even notice on tv. It's really sad.

Connors, to Kirby hitting the Zoidberg Elbow, to Gabriel Kidd finally winning a match, the beautiful stories of Slater/Moss and Prospect, Will Ospreay's valiant performance in a handicap match with War Machine, the list just goes on and on and on. This promotion was always bigger than just a RUclips channel. You introduced so many people to the amazing talent on the British scene, so many casual WhatCulture fans who decided to pick up an episode of Loaded. I thought it was weird that Built to Destroy was put up online, in full, for free. Now it makes sense, in fact, the last few months all make sense now. It was an attempt to make this company work, to lower its costs and try to be profitable... suffice it to say, it didn't work. I wish that wasn't the case, I wish it could have happened... but it didn't work out that way.
I am glad this company existed. I'm glad it offered exposure to so many that truly deserved it (despite also giving it to some that didn't, but that's the nature of the business). Most of all, I'm happy to know that this company will be remembered despite it shutting down. I was never fortunate enough to go to a WCPW or Defiant show, but I know several that have; however, I watched every single show that was put out. I tried to support this fantastic company as best I could, and I know I wasn't alone in doing so.
Goodbye, Defiant Wrestling. You will be missed. If anything, you will be remembered for the greatness you gave to the wrestling world.

Was there from the beginning watching it on RUclips so sad I never got to see a show in person. I made several plans to go to shows but sadly they never came through. Best memories the first show with Rampage doing the Piledriver with King Ross and Simon Miller on Commentary, Joe Hendry impersonating Blampied on Episode 3 and the last episode of 2016 seeing Martin Kirby become GM .All that and so much more thank you for all the memories and helping me to become the fan of independent wrestling that I am today. #ThankYouDefiant #ThankYouWCPW

Thank you Defiant for introducing a World Cup to wrestling, and searched for wrestlers at places noone thought to do so previously. You started a really important trend, and you guys were a big part of the British Independent Wrestling boom.
Through you we first heard the names Rampage Brown, Big Damo, Joseph Conners, Primate, Martin Kirby and others who were not as fortunate to have made their name in Progress or RevPro.
It should have worked better than it did. But you played a really important role in wrestling history. Respect from Athens, Greece.

My first ever wrestling show was a wcpw show and that show introduced me to so many wrestlers such as Marty scurll, will ospreay, Adam Cole, the young bucks, ricochet, Matt riddle, Christopher Daniels, takahashi, kushida, tomohiro ishii, war machine, Zack sabre jr. Thinking about it now those peak wcpw shows were ALWAYS stacked. Thank you wcpw you made some wonderful memories

#ThankYouDefiant for introducing me to arguably one of my favorite wrestlers in Joe Hendry, along with countless others that put on instant classic matches these last few years,

I'm extremely sad to hear that WCPW/Defiant is gone, but I'm grateful it was around to show me all of the great matches it provided. I will never forget the first Zoidberg Elbow, the Pro Wrestling World Cup, the rise of The Villain Marty Scurll, and the exceptional "nearly man" saga of David Starr, not to mention the many other excellent moments they've provided. We were Defiant until the end.

Heartbreaking. WCPW was a huge part of the reason I got back into wrestling in 2016, and introduced me to a laundry list of awesome wrestlers, from both the British independent scene and further afield. The WCPW World Cup was one of the most entertaining and most ambitious tournaments I've ever seen in wrestling. Truly a sad day.
