- Finding the perfect colour is one thing... What about finding color pairings for that perfect color? White Dove OC-17 is a very popular Benjamin Moore off-white paint color that I love to use on cabinets, but it's also wonderful to use on walls and trim. I gathered 5 paint colors ranging from white, all the way to deep and dark colors.

Ooo Iove White Dove! I have it paired with Antique Jade. I love the combo so much. However Firenze is so much fun. I never even thought of a colour like that but I’m loving it!

Thank you so much James, great timing, I have been watching your videos for ages and enjoy your expert knowledge combined with your humour. White dove is my choice for walls in the house but I have been stuck on the white for trims and ceiling, tired of buying sample pots and postage (Australian in NSW ) so will bite the bullet and get a sample of Super White must say I do like the Stained Glass I too like a touch of green. I love White Dove oc-17 enough that if I need a white (baseboards, ceilings, trim) it is White Dove oc-17 and it has been for years.
Great video as always!! All my woodwork and cabinets are painted White Dove. My kitchen & family room walls are painted CSP 790 Picnic Basket which I love together. Thunder is my dining room colour and Stained Glass my exterior front door. Love them all!!

I painted my cabinet uppers White Dove based on your recommendation. I painted the lowers Chelsea Gray. Great combo. Stained Glass looks like a great color. I'm saving that one to try for a later project.

Have you seen people complaining about White Dove looking more yellow than it did in previous years? Like, so much so that people don’t love it as much. Perhaps this occurred when they changed they LRV? I’m afraid to use it because of this.
Omg, I have been going back and forth for weeks trying to decide whether I could use White Dove on my cabinets and Super White for my trim and doors. I’ve chosen Edgecomb Gray for the walls and although their difference is subtle, I like Super White slightly better than White Dove on the trim throughout the house. White Dove, however, goes beautifully with my countertops. You have answered yet another one of my questions with this video. Thank you!

We are building an open concept home and were thinking of White Dove kitchen cabinets with Normandy on the kitchen island, Winds Breath on the walls except our bedroom with Wickham Gray. What do you think about those pairings - or do you think the White Dove with Stained Glass island and Balboa Mist on the walls would look better?
Great colors! Thunder seems similar to Cumulus Cloud and Stained Glass seems similar to Aegean Teal.

I just had an awesome color scheme idea come to mind.
After looking at all these colors, which are fantastic and exuberant in their own and every way, I saw in my mind’s eye…
The colors, Thunder and Stained Glass come together in a long and wide…house or hotel lobby with accents of cobalt blue, turquoise, coral, aquamarine, with touch-ups of copper and bronze here and there with a black/white marble flooring all over the place and…Firenze, which is also the name of a Harry Potter character from Sorcerer’s Stone by the way, would and could make a good impression as an exterior color, or accent with a White Dove as the main color.
Basically, I could just use these five colors and present them in a nice and contemporary setting of a blend of contemporary and industrial together. Creating a completely new “from out of nowhere” vision that’s not or never been done before. That’s just me. 🙂
Time to build that hotel I guess lol!

Been struggling with colors to pair with white dove for awhile so this has been very helpful! I've painted my walls white dove with Chantilly lace but i like super white better! And I've painted vanity with hague blue and currently deciding to paint shiplap with either balboa mist or edgecomb gray..

What could you recommend for cabinets if I’m doing my whole entire house and white dove I’m not an interior decorator I am not familiar with paint and I really wanted to create a bigger more lighter feel because the house is pretty dark any suggestions

I had a Firenze ceiling in my home office for a long time, …. and ironically switched to White Dove. Firenze is fun, but I feel that the entire Affinity line has kind of a candy/taffy vibe that is tired.
I’m glad super white will work with white dove though there isn’t a 10 LRV difference between them. I think I like white dove better than dove wing, at least for my house.
Thank you for the daring color pairing as the more I read it seems the new brown is actually cognac, which Firenze resembles. Reminds me of Kelly Wearstler's recent work, which is sublime.

I really like your pairings, especially the Stained Glass. A couple that I'm painting for now are using AF-15 and AF-65. What is a good dark color to use with those? I really like the color Stained Glass but would like a couple more options.
i had to look up AF-15 and AF-65 (lol)...love AF-15 (Steam) which caught my attention lately for my kitchen cabinets as I am literally needing to finalize my whole house paint color choices tonight since contractor(s) need decisions starting tomorrow...
Hey Chuck, have you looked at Providence Blue or Cinder? It's not as dark but I also like Stratton Blue. Against AF-65, those blues will really pop, so I wouldn't for anything too too saturated.
Does white dove have yellowish undergone ?

I moved into a home with a large amount of honey oak. The walls were painted a bluish grey and something didn’t sit right with me at all. I picked white dove to change the wall color and it pairs pretty well with white dove, not something you hear everyday when speaking of honey oak.
That makes total sense! The warmth of White Dove is more harmonious with the honey oak.
I heard White Dove works beautifully with Simply White.. White Dove walls with Simply White Trim♥️

HELP!! I want to paint a beautiful double arched freestanding cabinet. My walls are PPG Whiskers. Would White Dove look good on the cabinet with Whiskers as the wall color. This is a north facing room with one window. So my Whiskers walls are more moody than the rest of my light filled rooms. It is a den, this room. The cabinet sits adjacent the window. ☺️🤔🤷
Stained glass is pretty. Firenze reminds me of everyone’s house in the 90’s. Everyone I knew had that dirty orange color in kitchens, on leather furniture, bathrooms etc. 🤢 Not for me. Also I would be careful with Balboa Mist! It looks pink in my sons room and I can’t wait to paint over it so test test test! Because I didn’t!
Likewise, was disappointed w/ Balboa.
