Madaragun that’s a Sheltie for you! They feed up from their handler energy and spin around when excited. That’s a happy Sheltie! He knows he did something good! You better believe it!
Of course the dogs know when they win. It doesn't matter that you are a dog, especially a Sheltie as smart as they are, when you are on stage and you hear the applause, you know it's for you. It's a rush! And Conrad obviously loves it! Conrad,, we love you!
My last sheltie...2 years old has a foxier face. More people seem to be breeding for the older foxier face like my first 50+ years ago..just before they started to breed longer muzzles.
Tony is one the nicest German shepherds ever bred. I know his breeders and owners. They are some the nicest people and work very hard to produce German shepherds for the betterment of the breed. Tony is darn near perfection. He is very correct. If you want to know what a GSD is suppose to look like... study Tony. There is a reason he won breed and placed in the group and is the number one GSD in the country today.
I'm Sorry but this dog was one of my faves. The Poodle was the obvious choice. I should have known when they assigned Chris Meyer ( clueless about dog breeds with his cavalier attitude and obvious show of a lack of research) as the lead anchor on FS1 that the BEST IN SHOW results were gonna be a disappointment. Why not let next year's announcing go to Gail Miller Beicher and Dr Don Sturz? Both were professional and knowledgeable. Meyers was a disgrace! It was obvious that he was there for the prestige in the paycheck.
Were you surprised the sheepdog won the herding group?
Will you be posting the entire segment like last year?
He's a total star, so no...yet yes. We've been waiting a long time for this. Wonderful dog!
No I was not surprised.he is a beautiful sheltie .my favorite breed
no.
The Sheltie was my pick for the group AND Best in Show.
Shelties love to celebrate for anything. They will even celebrate after they pooh because they are so happy and cheerful.
Yay! Shelties and Sheltie parents everywhere are so proud of this very good boy. Congrats, Conrad!
That dog was excited like he actually knew that he won a Competition. I am truly amazed

As a mom of two shelties, I am so proud! These dogs are truly amazing. They are great with kids and they herd just about everything! Well done Conrad!

Way to go, let hope for the best!!!!
Conrad: I won? Really?! YIPPEEE!!!
I still prefer the more fox-like faces of the European Shelties. He’s cute though.
Just cats I know what you mean, however I think my little American sheltie is very foxy. You be the judge lol. Here is her insta @sheltie_supreme

I bred Std Poodles for yrs. But l take my hat off for America's Dog, the Golden Retriever!!!!
What have they done to the German Shepherd?
I know, they have them walking so much on their hocks they're almost on their butts...

Shelties love attention. Never laugh at any behavior o= most will repeat that behavior forever....
Video is great but you need to name 2,3,4 place dogs too! Quite babbling and name dogs and handlers! That’s what we’re here for.
And of course the old English sheepdog got group 2. Why do judges love breeds that take forever to groom?

Fox (sports)... this is not a sport.
Wrong Caleb dear... a VERY old sport it is! Open your mind and do some research...
Sue Castillo He’s an idiot, go easy on him
If you had ANY idea the amount of work that goes into this you would be blown away. Don’t be so close minded
Lighten up dood.
Do some research on all the work that goes into this sport, and you will see! My family have bred shelties for years and Conrad sure makes my day!
