@@broncosbreaks There is a hack out there that restores the 2-player option for the NES... That makes it ALOT closer to the arcade original. I used to really love that game back then, SNK games were always a trip to play. They had released numerous games on the NES long before they even came out with their Neo Geo. Athena was one of my faves, cuz it was really fun and had lotsa replay value. She would later appear as a popular recurring character in the KOF games. Great stuff!
They used to have this arcade at one of our local grocery stores.Don't know if it was the late 80s or early 90s. Anyway, I used to enjoy it. But, when that store stopped carrying it, I never saw it again...

This game was really easy to beat, and it's totally possible to finish it with just 1 credit. The enemies are weak, and they never change their attack patterns. 2 Cokes just on the first stage with 1 player? That should tell you just how easy it is!
i loved this one.., but havent play a lot becose we got final fight and later captain commando on arcades, i forgot the name of the fame i thought that was american ninja:) omg so crazy i love to watch this after 30+ yrs... i am so old
I don't know, my friend. Maybe there were so many good games and so many beat em up ideas that they had to quickly change franchises so as not to get stuck with the competing companies. Maybe that's one reason, don't you think?
The Bad Dudes both look, talk and dress like Ajax from The Warriors who is also a tough New York street brawler; minus the trademark, maroon-colored, leather-vests.

Si. Sony una lata los ninjas que aparecen saltando de una extremo a otro. Si no calculas bien la posición. Te golpean siempre.... Solo es identificar el patrón de movimiento y esperar la oportunidad de golpearles
@@ElPolikarpo It only works best on the slower moving enemies, like that HUGE boss in the forest stage. It takes at least 5 or 6 of those 'power punches' to defeat him. Just wait on the very edge of the upper platform while charging, and release it on him as he leaps up right into it. Easy! 👊

@@ElPolikarpo It is quite easily beatable with only 1 credit... All you have to do is play really CHEAP. There are plenty of Cokes everywhere, and they even reward you with extra lives if you manage to score alot of points. Whenever I pick up extra time (from the clock icons), I would hang around at a certain spot and just keep killing more enemies that rush towards you to rack up on extra points, before fighting the boss and completing the level. The timer counts down really slow, so 5 to 10 seconds is all you really need to defeat most bosses. I saw you beat Karnov (the first boss) in like under 5 seconds!
Fighter's History and Fighter's History Dynamite should've been Bad Dudes II & III. Where Blade & Striker are the main characters instead of the unoriginal Ray McDougal.

*Bad Dudes, Datsugoku: P.O.W., Double Dragon, Ikari III, Mighty Final Fight, NARC,* and *Ninja Turtles: Arcade* all made the same mistake of putting these arcade juggernauts on the NES instead of the SNES.

Could've been ALOT better tho on the Genesis (I suspect even arcade perfect), but Data East must've had a contract deal with Nintendo; which prevented them from porting it for Genesis. Bummer, cuz the Genesis NEEDED a game like this. The Genesis later got Crude Buster; which is kinda like a spiritual sequel, but I didn't really like that game at all! 🤔

Sadly tho, most of us back then had to deal with butchered and watered-down 8-bit ports on the NES. 😞

I remember playing this in an arcade in Lazarote when I was on vacation there from Sweden. First co-op game I competet with my brother. Great memory!
