I've recently been getting into this game. It's a good romp, reminds me of satisfactory, but in space.

I can build miners on my ship and they will travel to the astroids.

On the other hand my recipies look entirely different so who knows what updates we had in the meantime. Im new to the game and every tutorial looks off ;-)
