Inazuma's OST is AMAZING. The integration of the Japanese pentatonic scale into the tonality, the traditional and intimate sound textures mixed with the orchestral expressiveness... A perfect combo between TRADITION and MODERNITY. Thanks to Yu-Peng Chen and all musicians !

Everyone knows Yu-Peng Chen's name now. He was already a well-regarded film and games composer in China, but now he's rightly in the world's spotlight. But I do want to highlight the regional music producer for Inazuma which he collabed with (most likely remotely): Sachiko Miyano has orchestrated and arranged music for Super Smash Bros, Final Fantasy XIII, God Eater 2: Rage Burst and FF Brave Exvius. She is no amateur.
Let's see if they colab with the Qatar Philharmonic next ruclips.net/video/a7tAPh06kIg/видео.html (The link is them performing some Alan Menken classics). @@qpopuiuzmnmb Genshin will be a museum of treasure regional music if that the case hope the project is long and slowly more part of the world aside from 7.
@@mickbotcast I personally think its a bit more complicated than just '7 regions'. A interesting parallel that I noticed between Mondstadt and Liyue is that Liyue's music is trying to condense a HUGE and ancient country musically-wise into a cohesive and recognisable 'traditional chinese music' style (while in reality: 'traditional chinese music' has so many regional flavours and cultural histories). Meanwhile, since the world right now is so saturated and familiar with western classical music, Mondstadt on paper is supposed to be inspired by Germany, but its music borrows from everyone from Handel to Mozart to Beethoven, and takes inspiration from old Church hymns as well. Dragonspine seems to take inspiration from Christmas carols instead.
I just came from Fontaine and Sumeru's performance and one thing I noticed is they always include instruments from the countries they base the regions on as well as the musicians. It's fascinating.
London, Shanghai, Tokyo. Solid compositions. The amount of dedication to music in a F2P game is much appreciated, especially the battle themes. Just plainly amazing!

Visuals are “more potent” since we can actually perceive what we are seeing, so the gameplay and eye-catching character designs appeals to the majority of us, but what is truly underlying behind the gameplay is the memorable music. The music makes you really feel like you’re actually in the world of Teyvat. If you focus more on the music, you can finally close your eyes and think, “This is the sound of Inazuma.” “This is the sound of Liyue.” Truly music is a language - sound for the soul. Genshin isn’t the same without its well crafted pieces of music. Props to Yu-Peng Chan and the orchestra for making Genshin possible.

The first piece, “Inazuma” just feels like wind itself to me. Leisurely dipping and swirling over the tall grasses and stirring the leaves, delving into the deepest and lushest valley and floating into the warm gentle night, tickling the fireflies and the wind chimes, then strengthening with the dawn and journeying into the sunrise, rushing down over the hills and crashing against the shore, churning the waves with a fury and sending the sea spray over your outreached fingers and to the clouds over the bluest ocean.
I love the soundtracks for Genshin Impact. Being a music student, it makes me appreciate the subtle nuances in the music. I love how vastly different each piece is depending on the nation and region and yet, remains so cohesive with the overall themes. The use of traditional instruments for Liyue and Inazuma really gives it that extra edge of being in a completely different nation and it makes me very happy to hear all the different traditional instruments and what they bring to each soundtrack. The subtle motif that shows up in the battle themes. The melody Ayaka sings at the end of her quest is also a motif in other areas of Inazuma. Motifs show up in the most subtle ways and that's what ties all of it together. Thank you Yu-Peng Chen for creating such ethereal music. I am excited to hear the soundtrack from the remaining 4 nations of Teyvat!
I never realized how layered Genshin's soundtrack is. So many instruments... wow. Edit for the reply people: Yes, I'm aware this is standard for an orchestra. However, it is not something I think standard for a video game, and thus is where I find the depth.
I realized that games actually have orchestra to make their music when I watched Dota 2's live music performance. Ever since then I always appreciated game's bgm like these.

Immaculate and accurate description!
I read this in Kazuha's voice

I keep coming back to the Inazuma theme because the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra played it so hard like it was their national anthem.

I absolutely love the facial expressions of the conductor. Just makes the music that much better.
Yes he’s such an epic gigachad
Man, you know the orchestra is banging when the conductor is having fun
I'll never forget that magical moment when I first stepped foot into Inazuma, taken so aback by the soundtrack. It more than showcased the beauty of Ritou and Narakami Island but it also made me feel like an outcast stepping out into foreign land. It was almost overwhelming, but in a magnificent way because I felt like I was experiencing something entirely new and like nowhere else in the game. And there it is- it's so hard to believe that its just a game, when in reality it's a whole production- a whole experience. What Genshin Impact has is truly spectacular, and so culturally rich and unique unlike any other game. This soundtrack, Inazuma, and this culture will forever have a place in my heart, and I CANNOT wait to see what more is coming to Genshin Impact with other regions. I truly feel that Genshin is doing something special for our world culture, sharing different traditions with everyone to show just how amazing our world is. Keep up the amazing work

We need to appreciate the effort that they put into making this game. Genshin Impact is a beautiful game and really can't wait to see the new stuff we are going to get!

As a musician, it has always been said that when you "feel" the emotion of the music, your body will naturally react to the dynamic changes that occur. Just watch the entire orchestra's energy and movements shift once 3:20 hits. It's almost like a dance that accompanies the music, and it makes watching them perform these songs, all the more entertaining

Some people when they play genshin, they hear these tracks and they are annoyed because a monster has spotted them and wants to attack. But when you looks at this, it’s like you just *have to* appreciate how good the music is. There are so many instruments that even the details to the point where you can’t hear them are *still there* .This is amazing.
I can't help but feel sorry for those people who are too short-sighted to ever perceive the music as anything else except background noise. They have no idea what they're missing out on
@@enkive these music, while beautiful on their own, are background music by design tho
@@gywghhb Yes, but it is by no means lesser than any other kind of music simply on account of being "background music." It is just as many parts music as any other piece of music
Everyone I've met usually couldn't care less about the monsters or even deliberately get into fights to hear the music. I'm siding with the latter.
What do you meaaaaan, I get in to fights purposely to listen to the music 🤣
I cannot believe that I'm able to experience this. I've come back to this a lot of times today, and I just...I'm blown away every single time. All of the effort put into the story, details, and instruments is just incredible.
This is what I look forward to the most- not the gifts or the multitude of events that Mihoyo provides us with, but the sheer dedication to diversity, reflecting cultures and the history of those cultures with complex storylines, character backgrounds, and music.
As a final note, I just want to recognize the unity displayed by everyone in this Orchestra, even the Conductor (no member of a performing group should ever miss out on recognition). As a musician of multiple instruments myself, I couldn't help but be brought to tears because of how beautifully each performer played their instruments/did their part.
love your analysis!

bro effort deserved pay and money i also working as an adult i knew social syste work ,only child will said bicth for buying primo cus they never earn money in real life
You don’t even need to pay a cent to actually enjoy the game. Just building your free characters and not being a greedy brat is enough to enjoy the storyline, characters, and gameplay.
@@avi0005
How do you think these new characters and locations are made? It’s possible because of the profit made.
That’s how Free To Play works.
You can get all you want without spending money, then good for you. That doesn’t help the devs or the game longevity at all.
It is not a free game actually, just those rich guys who r willing to put thousands of dollars in gacha system pay the game for u. the gacha system is the method to ensure these rich players to pay more. this makes it a free game for everyone. I can accept this type of business since it works fine.
For me, this hits differently after watching Baal's Character Trailer. You feel the sense of how grandeur Eternity is, the feeling of being hollow after experiencing what Eternity actually is and Baal's push to chase for eternity to fill at least some of that "hollowness" she has felt or continues to feel.
Chasing enternity is a fools errand. Baal knows it, but she just cant let go. And she end up taking the whole nation with it. That is the real tragedy, I wonder how Celastria view this action..
I dont think celestia care that much. If they allow tsaritsa taking away other archon gnosis and allow zhongli fake death and let zhongli plans to use osial to test his people,Im sure they dont care about baal's action too
@@林振华-t4v especially since she said she cut ties with celestia. i wonder what her fate will be, and why there is inaction from celestia after she essentially abandoned her gnosis and ghosted them. i feel like there's been no consequences for her in those terms.
@@林振华-t4v Agree. I'm still salty at what she did to her own people. All those miseries when losing their vision...
I have my doubt over if we can depend on Celestia for justice though. From the lore, it is implied that Celestia is seemingly a place filled with snobby politicians (I forgot who said that. Dainsleif? Zhongli? idk). Based on the limited info we've gotten on it, for me it's less of a divine existence and more like a powerful nation that wanted to colonize Teyvat by attacking Khaenri'ah.
But it's just my interpretation. I'm excited to see where the story will go.
@@tortilla1301 tbh for me the vision hunt decree actually teaches us, players what happens if mortals depend too much on visions and celestia. most of the people that lost their minds after having their visions snatched away and the resistance army who used delusion till the end of their own lives were the people who depended too much on their visions and wanted power, exceeding from what they could take as a mere mortal ( spoilers alert : my interpretation from what raiden said inside the plane of euthymia. ) also, there must be some reason for why raiden despises celestia and cut ties with them whilst venti just straight up roasts celestia.
this is such a masterpiece. my respect to everyone present in this and all the people involved in the music department. you guys make the game so much more enjoyable and immersive.
