Awesome production machines. Komatsu and other brands with full wrap drive sprockets have it over the drapped chain drive but by it's market dominance I believe cat capped dozers HP and killed the 575. The question remains
@@rogerkumar73 absolutely but have you ever wondered that every other piece of earth moving gear has gone higher and higher in horsepower and dozers plataued at d11 why not 2,000hp?
If you don’t count that single Italian dozer (ACCO) that was built, the 575 was the largest production built dozer. Komatsu discontinued it because there just hasn’t been enough demand for that size of machine.
@@jeremymeyer8800 point taken on the 575 being the largest production dozers my assertion is cat capped horsepower because of their dominance (fact) and the inability of the hi Trac (3.5 teeth) to handle higher loading than the d11's as compared to a full wrap sprocket flat Trac ie the 575
Love the performance of the 575... Absolutely Awesome. Watched a D11 and a 475 working on a grade separation in Melbourne Australia a couple of years ago. Could not really make a judgement on their respective performances though....the 475 was broken down!!!
Biggest dozer i ever ran was a cat d11 actually 4 different ones over the years an n model 3 r models!the company i worked for for 25 years.got a new t model but i never got to run it!
The t model stands for trouble! That model dozer has a lot of problems. The drive gears in the planetary are to small. They bust all the time! The steering gears are the same way. The lgp models has more problems out of the steering gears and the planetary than the standard track. We have t models come in often with planetary problems or electrical issues. Cat really went backwards on the t model.
This video should be renamed "New world record!" The video runs for 10 mins and the 575 does that whole time without breaking down!! Amazing!! Good video though.
Thier not backfilling but block stripping where one block of dirt is pushed off the coal and pused intothe previous pit i know i did this for 30 plus years
I still can't believe there isn't more of a market for the 575..... Shovel and truck size has only continued to increase over the years. What's the difference in capacity between the 575 and a D11 Carrydozer?
Paul the only logical answer is CAT dominates and the hi Trac cannot with 3.5 teeth on the chain, put power to more traction. For better or for worse just ask an owner operator who's tracks last longer.
One of my many wishes I have had was that wouldn't have not got hurt Running a 631 and that I would have got to run a D11 or even a D10 D9 was as big of Dozer that I ever got to set on and operate.
Eddie Reynolds: I run a D11 here in PA. A D11 is almost 2½ times the weight of a D9. Our Carrydozer's blade weighs 53,000 lbs and the Ripper weighs 28,000lbs. They're pretty big.
@@The1979814 What area of PA? I used to ride quads around the mines and watch the d11s just go back and forth all day and all night. It be 2 am we be out riding quads and dozers would be parked beside each other on their lunch break and we go in and offer them a beer lol
Theman operating the big 575 shouldnt be turning so much hed be better off sqareing up with that pile of rock and just push it stright down the slope, much easier o. The undercarrage!
You can see and feel the pile off the edge of the blade while pushing and especially when it sluffs off at the edge. New cat skinners often take too big a bite. The really good operators can tell so much just by feel. I was told by a veteran skinner to only use a third of the blade, material will pile up naturally. Seems to work after 25 years.
@@manishmagar7177 Bloody hell that is ridiculous. If I was ever offered the opportunity to drive one off these awesome dozers I wouldn’t sleep with excitement the night before.. Thank you from a guy in Uk
She can push 65/75 yards capacity, plus the over flow. You can easily estimate around 95/110, depending on the material. Consider that the operating weight of the 575 A is between 152 and 160 metric tons depending on blade and ripper configuration. I hope I've answered your question some how.
The Cat high track is superior maneuverability and visibility, for all the INTERESTING jobs where that is needed!! In my humble opinion, D10 jobs were the biggest jobs I enjoyed, the big big stuff you got SO BORED looking at the same hills for months!
The operator of that 575 is really good. A pleasure to watch.
