Nice set up, but make sure food is locked up at night. Critters will seek it out, bears, squirrel, possum, skunk, and all love to raid camp sites. Had a possum raid mine once, not fun. Enjoy that area, beautiful and lot of history.
Canopies are a must have! I was camping in Arkansas in my van and noticed a grandma with her grandkids get rained out. They had a small tent to huddle in, with their picnic table contents they had to quickly move indoors. I took my canopy and slid it over to their site so they could sit outdoors. I had my cozy dry van to escape to. That family loved on me the duration of their stay! Kept offering me food, coffee, etc. I always have a canopy for just in case! My best memories are the people I've met!
Hello Linda, You found how to live as a minimalist and enjoy simple comforts. Your a subject matter expert on Working and living as a nomad . Your lifestyle is becoming a necessity for so many people who can mo longer afford rent or mortgages. Your example of living well has become a game changer for displaced and distressed people everywhere. More over your a wise woman who has turned the dillemad you faced on life onto a cottage industry. Great camp living and mental health sustainability examplesm Love how you demonstrate the flexibility you have in your living arrangements. You show the world how to turn negatives into positives. God teaches understanding and gives wisdom to those who look see amd do. Your living the dream. Positively achievable.
Never leave food outside. All kinds of animals mice, deer raccoons , can open everything and you want to leave things wide open not a good idea do not invite rodents animals into your campsite .
Great video, looks very comfy. Refrigerate your opened bottles of sauces and mustard - the labels and strict food rules in developed countries state that, due to bacteria which will make one very sick.
Awesome stations. I want to livin" it too...... Going up for my drivers licence next week at the age of 53. I pray and believe I can do it. Thank you Linda for the inspiration. Greetings from the Netherlands may God continue to bless you abundantly
I did notice you had some opened bottles like vinegar, butter, mustard, honey and agave syrup. Please keep in mind these items should be refrigerated once opened. You don't want to risk getting sick.
Linda you do not have a lazy bone in your body. You’ve done a great job at setting your “home away from home,” set up! I am watching your new journey with enthusiasm. You are living your dream!💕🙏carson in Ohio
Tyvm Linda for a sweet little video of your temporary home setup.I declare, you can live anywhere, and not just survive, but actually thrive.God Bless you abundantly dear.
Hello Linda, Looks great. I think when they move the fire pit. I would have them place it near on the side of your canopy. I would move both chairs over there. Looks like two are camping there. Just a little safety tip. Also I would ask maintenance to weed eat all those tall weeds. Looks like they would attract more bugs. You might want to add a small electric weed eater to your items to bring along. We camp a lot. I also have a small blower to keep the camp cleaner. Have a wonderful summer there.
I'm not sure who told you that, but I lived on the Betsie River near the Sleeping Bear Dunes (further down on the Western side of the state and I ASSURE you that not only are their bears- they are not necessarily concerned that there are people around. They would show up on the nearby golf course and were known to ravage garbage cans when they could. Raccoons will also help themselves and are even able to open your cooler.
You are such a bundle of energy......bottle it please! You picked the perfect spot for each 'area'. Nice they will move that fire pit. I love it because you have so much privacy with this design and so many trees for precious shade, too. This will be an exciting summer for you. 🥰
Linda love your set up ,,Very private..!!..Quality tent 👌 Linda when I saw your feet up at the end …It reminded me when I camped out ..I would put sun flower seeds on my toes and a chipmunk would come up on my feet and fill his pouch up and go back and forth… Also ❤ your ankle jewelry 🩵⛺️
That is a very nice private camping spot Linda! See if they will cut the grass and weeds down a little more! It sounded like it was raining in your clam! Be careful, animals can smell through packages and everything. You might want to animal proof your food stash. My neighbors saw a bear in my yard going for my trash can once. I made sure and kept the ftont door closed while the bear was getting my food out of the trash! Be prepared to escape to your suv for protection! Praying for wisfom and safety! God Bless Linda! Sister, Judy🙏✝️💖
I set up camp when my cousin and I car camp . We have a big canopy and it's hard to do alone. With the 2 of us it's easy. You have a nice set up for camping.
I love the spot that you’re staying in! Hope you enjoy your day! I’m about to have a turkey sandwich for lunch too! It’s amazing how good a turkey sandwich is when you’re real hungry!😂
What a lovely place.. Much better than a claustrophobic Hilton, in my opinion. (I do like Hiltons, btw--I once worked for them). I admire your adventurous spirit and creativity when it comes to making a home almost anywhere.
Nice setup 😊 wondering if you ever served at the American Red Cross. Your setup “stations” remind me of how we would setup during events, disasters, and/or drill.
Linda, Know that you have "gone-over" Thing's in the Past. Since quite some Time has Past, could you with All Your Experience, "answer" a Couple of Question's There are "2" of us. If ya' Live in a Regular Stick-Built Home & "The Grid" Goes Down, What would You "have" for Your Heating Food & Keeping Thing's Cold ? Also for Charging a Phone.📱We May or May Not Ever Need It. (Don't Ever PLAN on Using Again.) Thanx.

No worries. I leave them all the way they are. I’m fine.. USA goes overboard..
Love your setup!! I always see Ollipop in the refrigerator at my local stores. Is it ok to leave them in the heat for days?
I keep them in my cooler w/o ice most of the time

Oh I don’t refrigerate any of them and zero issues. Thanks for your concern. USA over does it with what needs to be cold.. just sayin😉
I don’t think any of those need refrigeration!

Your set up is great. You do have a nice spot. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing with us.
Do you have to worry about bears?
No

You have your nest all feathered. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.
A clam is a great idea! I prefer relaxing outdoors in a screened environment and I don't care to share my food with bugs!
Be safe! Marie ❤️
We lived and camped in Michigan for the first years we were married. I hope you don’t find your spot too buggy. Michigan is so beautiful.
