If there‘s a push with more than one troop coming it‘s way, the suck in won‘t do that much damage to the tank itself. What it will do is make the tower and other troops lock onto the support, so the support gets taken out easier

its a 4 elixr evo with the ability to pull and hold a tank, damaging it slowly and letting your cards hit all the targets the tank is defending. its like a tornado that retargets your other troops - pretty good but just niche. could be great for pulling a tank to the opposite lane

I think the thought process was as follows. A huge push comes in with a huge tank in front and support troops. The cage sucks in the tank and now our defending troops can focus on support troops until the tank and the brawler do the tango.

I feel like the point is to get the cage to suck in the tank so then your tower targets the backing troops. Or to be an easy counter for melee troops. Either way you'll want to place it where it'll suck in what you want and not just always in the center where anything can just get sucked in. Case and point at 5:38 where it got the tower to kill the skeletons instead of them surviving while the tower targeted the hog rider.
It actually looks really good, it will force opponent to use spell on it or put another (mini) tank in front of things like Giant or golem but that's only if you make sure nothing can deal damage to it
This evo is the most balanced in my opinion. It hard counters things like golem, rg, pekka, mega knight, and sort of hog rider (because eq exists), but really struggles with swarms, recruits, cycle decks, and piggies. And air hard counters it. It can literally pull win conditions off of your tower which is very strong in the right hands. This is how evolutions should be designed. The extra health is perfect too; it makes the brawler that much more menacing as it runs towards your tower.
It's only real use is allowing your troops/tower to redirect to the support cards instead of the tank, but idk how useful that'll actually be. I think it might work for decks that already use Goblin Cage, but it definitely needs a buff if it wants to compete slots with other evos
That famous luberloon freeze deck with cage, bowler, i-drag and so on will be nasty now as it finally has an evo. Will definitely terrorize my enemies with that :)
As a goblin cage enjoyer I think this evo is well balanced, it still struggles vs swarms but does much better vs things like pekka bs and hog rider since it essentially eliminates low health cards played in single elixir for no damage to the brawler or tower
It's kinda like Kit or Cordelius in Brawl Stars in a way. Your troop is stunned and takes dmg over time from the goblin brawler It also disappears from the battle field which allows TT to retarget on something else. That's pretty awesome for a building but it's not the kind of card that just wins you the game, it simply improves what GC does in a unique way. It's how evolutions should be, they should improve on the card's function in a fair way instead of covering its weaknesses (unless it's Evo Wiz, that one needed the shield)
What if the goblin brawler’s “anger” made him move and attack faster for his first five hits or something until he “cools off.” Just think it is a tad strange that evo battle ram essentially has two evos (ram + barbs themselves) while all the brawler gets is some extra health)
It's like a support tower when your trying to defend your towers the cage will drag the troops in and focuses on the cage so you can counter the push the enemy makes and make a push yourself
Yeah this evo will hopefully help it go into more variety of decks rather than just fireball bait because you don’t really struggle against beat down even without the evo so it makes beat down even worse to use and promotes fireball bait to be used with another evo in the deck
I think my ideal scenario for this card would be: Deals damage on the grab, so skeletons/goblins get instantly killed. Pulls two medium units, but only one big unit. A bit longer ranger, so it can grab the Mega Knight prejump
If it could hit air, it would become viable in a x-bow deck. my opponent want's to stop my x-bow: Pekka at bridge, evo cage. mega-night at bridge, evo cage. Hog on the edge of bridge so it would avoid my tesla, evo cage. Bonus is that it would allow x-bow to get a lock now that the defender is gone. But since it can't hit air, balloon and lava hound decks just win, literally no way to defend against a air attack. Still, the possibility's are there.
a good small buff they can do is increasing the sucking spead so if MK jump it pull it immeditly and take it inside - I know that was 18+ but it's what it's

The goblin cage graps a unite in it and attacks the grap unite in the cage without going out the cage basically if a giant goes in and the cage grap it in the giant does no damage but the gooblin inside will attack it and kills it without it getting defeated

Goblin cage never could defend against the hog rider without taking damage. It would also be interesting to see the electro giant interaction or even royal giant. Concepts like balloon and lumberjack would get completely shutdown. It is actually pretty busted when you consider the elixir vaule.
The electro giant is super weird, you can see it in Ken's video. The cage pulls the giant and starts beating it up, but gets zapped every time, lowering it's DPS, but the cage doesn't take damage from the zap so it kills the E-giant anyway
Will the pulled in troops get damage by spells? Other troops and buildings ignore the pulled in troops. But how about throwing a fireball on it? Ik it doesn’t make sense at all wasting the spell on the already pulled in troop, but just in case, for poison interaction.
