      Nice! Haven't spoken to anyone who's owned them for any length of time so glad to hear your experience has been positive! Thanks for watching!

    I just got these delivered today from HD. For well over 30 years, I have avoided buying sawhorses. For the last few years, I have laid sacrificial 2x4 on top of my HF welding tables ( you can cut wood on a welding table, but you don't want to weld on a sawhorse). I was frustrated last week when I needed to weld something, and my welding tables were under some plywood I was ripping. Finally forced my hand, and now I have these sawhorses. 2X4 fastened on the top, 8' 2x4s in the slots, AND my LegUp attached mid-way on one of the 8' 2x4s, and my rip and cut station is up and running. What's really great is they put the work surface over half a foot higher, which is a great bonus. I plan to add a few joist hangers on my 8' 2x4s to add a few 2x4s to support shorter sheet goods - mindful to keep all the metal well below the blade cut depth of my saws.

    Good video. Have some like yr first set and love them. They are super strong, stable while being light weight, compact and very easy to store.

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to chime in! Yeah, I shouldn't complain about my green Masterforce horses. They've served me very well for quite a while. I suffer from "shiny object syndrome" though and can't help but like new toys ;)

    Thanks for the video! One thing you didn't mention that sold ME on this line of sawhorses is the ability to attach 2x4's to make an actual work table w/ built-in sacrificial cutting surface. As a weekend warrior, I might go with the Workhorse rather than the Speedhorse at a little more than half the price!

    Hey, Tom. Menards has these horses on sale for $69 before an 11% rebate. Also, the small EDC Steamlight Pro-Tac 1AAA light you mentioned in a previous post, made it through a full wash cycle this last week (DUH!!) and survived with no ill effects.

    • @TomtheDilettante
      @TomtheDilettante  10 месяцев назад

      Hey there! 100% on the Menards rebate. That's exactly what I did with these LOL. I cited the normal price though in the video just in case others don't have that option. Also, that's awesome to hear your light made it thru a wash cycle unscathed! I think mine has been thru a few wash cycles, left in the rain channel under the hood of my GX470, and dropped who knows how many times and the damn thing still keeps on ticking. At this point, if it were to die, I wouldn't even be mad. I feel I definitely got my money's worth LOL. Thanks for watching and chiming in!

    I just bought a pair and they are amazing to work with. I have used those cheap little plastic saw horses forever. Now, with these I'm ready for anything. These Bore SpeedHorse XT's are fast to set up and take down is fast. I use these right outside my shop door on a covered patio, because I love working outside and I can make a huge mess cutting, routing, and building items too big for my shop. I know many shop guys would lo love to have a set. Enjoy.

    I did a very brief contract job in Iowa, and my employer forgot to ship some tools I needed. My customer suggested I head to Menard’s. “What’s Menards?” Said I…. He should have said “Disneyland for right-minded people”.

      Hey Jonny! Yeah, I thought so too. It's a love/hate kinda thing going into a store and finding something cool that you had zero intention of buying, but then just got the "bug" LOL. Then again, I'll be the first one to admit my impulse control is a "work in progress". Hope you guys have been doing well!

    trying to decide between these and tough built.

    • @renurenovationsllc7780
      @renurenovationsllc7780 3 месяца назад

      I bought the original Tough Built, the legs having to go up in sequence is frustrating. The push buttons are frustrating, and they get wobbly pretty quickly. The Bora seems to wedge lock the legs keeping them more snug and tight. By the way, I have used my Tough Built’s twice in 8 years, ONLY because I was spray painting, and needed another set. I hate them that much in comparison.

    Wonder what happens if you miss adjust your skill saw and catch the metal …you should see my wooden saw saws..guess i”m old school..and I like keeping stuff out of land fill..

    • @TomtheDilettante
      @TomtheDilettante  10 месяцев назад +1

      Catching the metal would definitely result in a bad day LOL. I like old school wooden horses for the same reason...they provide a sacrificial cutting surface. These have accommodations for mounting 2x4's as a surface frame which is nice. In that case, one would have to accidentally set the blade a full 1.5" or so too deep to screw up. That's a margin of error I think even I can live with :)

    I love good engineering too. Though, at $160 a set and knowing I would crash my saw into it soon, I will stick with my plastic jobbies.

      @TomtheDilettante  10 месяцев назад +1

      LOL! Can't argue with that. A bit high in price considering the myriad of alternatives out there. And, the cost of a hard stop of blade on metal is certainly not cheap either ;). thanks for watching@

      @TomtheDilettante  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to chime in! Definitely on the pricier end of the spectrum. You're right, I didn't show any meaningful work on them. I did throw some wood on there, stood on them and jumped up and down as a quick test of sturdiness, but TBH, I was trying to keep this video short and sweet. Good feedback nonetheless and I'll give showing more test cases more consideration in the future. Thanks again!
