Uljin Trip 2 Nights 3 Days 🏝️🐟 Uljin Restaurants, Seongryu Cave, Uljin Aquarium, Deunggisan Skywalk

I recently went on a 4-night, 5-day trip to Uljin and Pohang. I'd like to share my experiences from the Uljin portion, which was a 2-night, 3-day trip.
Accommodation -
Beachfront House
We chose this accommodation because my friend had researched it, although initially, I wasn't too keen on it. However, we couldn't find a better option, and upon arrival, I found that despite its age, it was very well-maintained. The large grassy area was a significant advantage. We mostly ordered takeout or delivery, and it was a great place for it. Many people brought their own food and enjoyed it in a nice environment. It was a safe place for kids to play, and for adults, it was perfect for having a drink.
Restaurants -
Mangyangjeong Seafood Kalguksu
We visited this restaurant after seeing a RUclips video featuring it. At the time the RUclipsr visited, the restaurant was located elsewhere and then temporarily closed. However, it reopened near Jugbyeon Port in mid-July, and we were able to try their food. The kalguksu (handmade noodle soup) was delicious, though the noodles might be considered slightly thicker if you're used to thinner ones. There were plenty of seafood and fresh clams. My husband especially liked it because there was a lot of seaweed in it, making the broth refreshing and enjoyable. If you're a fan of scallops, you might want to try the scallop kalguksu, although it can be pricier. Overall, I highly recommend it. The owner also mentioned they are into beekeeping and want to start a RUclips channel about it. We fully support that!
Haerisu Fish Stew
We were looking for a place to have dinner near our accommodation and discovered this restaurant. It's where the Korean TV show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" filmed an episode. I really enjoy watching that show, so I was excited to dine here. It was conveniently located near our accommodation, and the food was excellent. I'd love to visit again. As seen in the video, I definitely plan to try the gaori jjim (sea snail steamed dish) next time. After researching online, I found that our group wasn't the only one thinking that way. Most bloggers who visited this restaurant seemed to share the same sentiment. Just be aware that the seasoning for the jjim is strong, and the broth is less prominent.
Yujung Restaurant
This restaurant was recommended by my friend, who had done some research. It's another place that appeared on the Korean TV show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator." I enjoyed a winter version of dokchitang (a type of Korean stew) in Sokcho, and I had a similar experience here. The combination of kimchi and water celery was excellent. The fish fillet had a perfect texture. It becomes tender when you eat it, but it doesn't feel mushy when you scoop it up with a spoon. It was a delightful meal, and even while making the video, I wanted to eat it again. I wonder when I can visit Uljin again?
Gobawoo Chinese Restaurant
This restaurant had mixed reviews, both positive and negative. If you're expecting a very spicy and flavorful taste, you might be disappointed. However, our group found it satisfying and reminiscent of old-school Chinese restaurants. It's suitable for Instagram photos and worth a visit.
We explored various places in Pohang as well, so please look forward to that!
