I’ve only been into anime and known about Studio Ghibli for 2 years but it has helped me a lot. 2 years ago I was being bullied everyday at school and some days it got so hard I just wanted my life to end. However anime was always there for me. I was even able to join the anime club at my school where I could just watch Ghibli movies and draw in peace. (That is until one of my bullies join the club but I had already gotten rid of them by then :))

@@boleyn8463 The first kind of Kalimba were out of wood and bamboo instead of metal, and they go back to about 3000 years ago, so pretty much traditional, it only got popular and exported to the west in the 80s or so though

Spirited away. One of the only anime movies that brought life into my heart. It’s sad that we would never get another but it would always be in our hearts. Studio Ghibli is an amazing studio produced by great creators. It brings warmth into my soul and brightens up my life because of how peaceful it is. This song brought all that to me. I am so happy I was born in a generation of warmth and happiness. Have a great day.

Mhm like me i barley get to go out now and this brings back memories with me and my friends and some anxiety with it music brings memories for me and i love this because it brings back so many good memories and times with my friends and how much we’ve grown since then... the one that brings anxiety is i dont want to think about when they die... it makes me sad and anxious because nobody would like to see when their loved ones or friends die the saddest moment in everyones life is when the people who made the best memories becomes a memory

Spirited Away is my FAVORITE movie, and that’ll probably never change. The reason why I love the movie is because each time I watch it I always feel nostalgic, like a memory of something I can’t quite describe. The feeling of wonder even though you know what happens each time you watch it and the feeling of inspiration to write a story or draw something is absolutely overwhelming and I love it. The music, the animation, everything about the movie is magical and is my main source of inspiration. I could literally watch it all day everyday because I never get tired of it.
This melody makes me feel nostalgic for childhood days, days in which there is no sadness or sorrow, days when my greatest concern was what would happen in the next episode of my favorite anime.
Maybe Disney music touch your heart but believe me ghibli studio and joe hisaishi music is touching our souls
if there was ever a sequel to Spirited Away, it should start with Chihiro playing a Kalimba near the entrance of the Temple from the start of the movie.
Everytime I hear this song no matter the instrument it always brings a tear to my eye

When I listen to this music while the cool wind blows through my face, it's as if the wind had touched my face centuries ago when I was a simple farmer living in a quite piece of earth when I was happy and fully content with life, I wanted nothing more, it was peaceful, and the same wind has travelled all around the world and time to remind me of those times in my new life as the same wind had touched my cheeks touches me now.

Everything about this is beautiful. The location, the music and instrument, the camera work.
The song gives me happy and sad vibes at the same time. Happy because Chihiro finally gather with her parents again but sad because she have to say goodbye to Haku and even don't remember him and the world she has entered before. This song always reminds me the scene where Chihiro let go of Haku's hand. Their last goodbye broke my heart so many times. But I still love all about the movie no matter what❤🍃🎑
